Em......Mateo will get it. It definately takes boys longer. I think Garrett was about 3 going on 4. He was fine with peeing on the potty, but pooping was an ordeal. As a matter of fact, he has this thing that he seems to think he needs 1/2 roll of toilet paper to clean his butt. UGH! Thats cool that J is only gone for the day.....Kevin is having problems at Cooper...the majority of the problem is the project manager. Why they didn't just make him the PM on this is rediculous since he seems to be doing that plus supervising day shift.

You know how you get into that tunnel vision mode when cleaning? I just did that in my basement. I swear it looks NOTHING like when I started. Kevin is going to walk down there and say HUH?

I really do not foresee me relaxing or getting anything but cleaning accomplished today. Oh I do see my yelling at Jess when she gets home though. Her bedroom is THE biggest pig stye. Dirty clothes all over her floor(of course to the left of the doorway so I couldn't see it unless I went in there), meanwhile there is her laundry basket filled with all the clean clothes from last week still!!!!! UGH. I should have my dad call her. I swear the kids jump into gear when he gets going.

Gotta also figure out what I am making for dinner tonight. Garrett has practice from 4-5:30, then Jess has practice from 7-8:30. Oh Jess' practice last night turned out to be a scrimmage and she pitched. I swear I was puking. I hate watching my kids pitch. Soooooo much pressure.

Oh god...pooping problems!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cooper will be 4 in August and we really have had NO luck with the pooping the toilet business...UGH...

Hey Jen..when you finish at your house, come on down!!!! I was complaining last night about my family getting into the same ruts as before the major spring cleaning last week of throwing this and that everywhere and not picking up after themselves.

Em..glad you had a good time down south!!! There is just something about the beach--it just calms you completely!!! DS was 10Xs worse on potty training than DD. It is a boy thing!!!!

I really need to go run errands around town but I am just not wanting to do that--I used to love going out and running to the stores, etc but anymore, I despise it!!!

hey girlie girls...
just saying hi! i have been a working fool this week. i keep trying to
read up on everyone. i had a pretty good time in vegas...my sister held up ok.
i think it was too much for to endure and by sunday she was extremely weak
and her medications weren't working so well-basically she acts like
(for lack of beter description) a drunk person-she has no balance or coordination and slurs her words-and makes absolutely no sense. it's hard to see in her that state. but eventually it wears off and she barely remembers any of it. so of course by the time we got home i felt a sense off relief.

anyways-i did pretty good with the food-but this week has been challenging-i have had zero groceries and still have not made it to the store-i have been making good choices-but eating every meal out-and barely journaling.
tomorrow is weigh in-it'll be nice to see where i stand and gain the momentum back i had before the trip.
ok back to the grind!

nikki: it would take everything within me not to go to the school and rough those kids up! when my nephew was in elementary school some kids were giving him a hard time and one day i told one of them if they weren't nice i was going to burn their house down. i thought my sister was going to pummel me-i couldn't help it though, i know that was an awful thing to say but hahahhaa i was only 20.

terry: it took 2 full weeks to get our refund from the IRS...and about 4-5 days to get the one from the state. how long have you been waiting?

jen: holy cow-you are a cleaning machine! and i can't believe you already have a new gig. so much for retirement huh?

Hello ladies!

Well today has been crazy so far and I have done NOTHING since putting DD down except sit my butt in this chair!

Decided to go and get groceries this morning before DD's gym class, since I've been crashing in the late afternoons lately and didn't want to drag myself around the grocery store like that today. So we rushed through the grocery store, home, put the groceries away, snacked DD and myself, gave her a clean diaper and off we went for gym at 10.45. Whew. We made it on time though. Then there was this new kid in gym class who was a complete BRAT, screamed his head off every time the parents tried to direct him anywhere, and they just shrank away from him when he did!! Plus both parents were there, and the dad was outright rude - just snapped at us when we tried to include him in any conversation at all, and insulted his wife any time he thought he was out of earshot!! Then the mum put the kid on this swinging rope and was pushing him back and forth and swung him smack into DD's little friend's head! And did NOTHING about it! We were so glad to get out of there when class was over! Plus all the kids started acting up after seeing what that little bugger got away with, and we go out for lunch afterwards, so DD and her little bf were being soooo naughty at the restaurant!! Ugh. I think they were there for a trial class, and I'm sorry but I hope they don't come back!!

So that's my tirade for the day. Disclaimer: I do not in any way mean to imply that I am a perfect mother or that my DD is perfect either. What pissed me off here is that the parents did nothing to control this child, and he milked it for every ounce he could get!

The weather is beautiful here today, so we will definitely be going to play outside after DD's nap!

Nikki and Em ~ Groan, potty training!!! It's looming in my future! We bought DD's potties a couple of weeks ago and every time she sees them in the laundry room she wants to check them out! I'm waiting till summer though, selfishly - I'm not ready to go through all that yet, I haven't even thought about how I want to go about it! I never even thought that pooping could be different than peeing to them - but why should I be surprised? Kids' brains are weird!!

Well I am finally sitting for a bit before the brats get home...I only have an hour. This is what I mean that I am busy all day even without working!!!!! WWWAAAAAHHHHH I DON'T WANT TO GO BACK TO WORK!!!!!!!!! My house will look like a total shithole again!!!!!!

So after I accomplished that task of the basement, I decided I better mow the lawn....so I go out there get the mower out, clean it off and all, go to start it and nothing! Grrrrr. 10 mins i am trying this and that. Finally my neighbor saw the struggle and came over with tools....he knew immediately what was wrong and fixed it for me!!! HOORAY! So I am in business.....until I run out of gas. I had to run and get some, which was interesting because I have never done that before. Then back and I did my lawn and the other neighbors. She'll wind up doing both next time. We tend to take turns so it all gets done at once and our yards correspond. LOL

Sarah.....Oh I would have told those parents a few things. Yes girls are easier to potty train than boys. Jess was exactly 2 1/2 when she was trained.

Anna.....Glad that you had a good time in Vegas! I am jealous!!!! You will do fine at WI!!!!

Terry.....If you go onto the IRS website, it will tell you how long it takes and will give you an example of if you filed on xx date you will get it by xx date.

Jen ~ I think they got the idea, all the other parents in the class were giving them looks and when the mother smacked her kid into DD's friend there were several "oh my god"s and "what the hell"s to be heard. That kid screamed so much during the beginning song time that DD wouldn't play for the first 10 minutes of the class, she was so freaked out she just wanted to sit in my lap!! And she wasn't the only one!!
