Listen milk has gone mad around here...at the local grocery store is it $5.39/gal for brand name and $4.99/gal for generic (LOL!)...I have been buying the 1/2 gal for the past 2 weeks and paying $3.29 for that. I was tickled over my gallon today!!!

Our gas went up this week to $3.15 for reg unleaded...$3.79 - $3.99 for diesel. I honestly don't see how the economy can stand much more?????? DH was pricing farm stuff for planting...it is has doubled and tripled in price since last year...a gallon of off brand weed killer (similar to round-up) has gone from $12 to over $30 since last season. I am thinking "how can we afford to even plant??"

So June oh sorry I meant Jen...do you guys have like 4H or anything up there..I know our local one is always looking for volunteers in the summer for the summer programs like sewing, cooking, etc. I really wanted to volunteer for the sewing class last year even though I can't sew..figured I could learn with the kids..LOL!!! Didn't fly with our agent..she just rolled when I suggested it. Looks like DD gets to be a teen volunteer this summer as she is too old now for most of the summer programs.

I had realized that today wasn't supposed to be cardio....it was strength! Ugh! So I did a quick 25 mins on the ball with weights.

I imagine there is 4H up here....but I know any type of thing to teach....wait what about bitching about stuff class!?!?! LOL

Gas here is $3.29 and I am not happy. I just had to put $50 in the truck.

You don't have to teach anything...you just have to help with the classes...or that is how it works here...like at the sewing class, the volunteers just make sure the girls are cutting around the patterns correctly, or run errands to stores, help them with ironing, that kind of thing..just frees the agent up from having to deal with 10-15 screaming girls that are having their drama queen moments..LOL!!!! DD went to a jelly making class one time and they had some moms there just to make sure the kids didn't get hurt around the stove..safety type things. Check into it...you might be surprised what you can find for the kiddos to get involved in as well. They have super cheap day camps here that last for a week.

And don't think you were not on my mind Miss Nikki...I was thinking how can I freeze this gallon of milk and fed ex it to Nikki!!! FOR REAL!!!!

Lizzy..glad you got to talk to doc office...sorry your mom is being stubborn...maybe part of the medical issues that are making her that way. Just hang in there...things have got to get better!!!

Jen..oh no doubt you will have a busy schedule...hmmmm, I foresee the entire group of kids held up at your place for the summer with you hauling them everywhere they gotta go.

Got my walk in thank goodness...I just came in, threw the grocery bags on the floor, changed my shirt and shoes and went on my walk. I just made an executive "ME" decision!!! Got an invite to a fish fry..they are serving grits which is core but it is with fried catfish and hushpuppies..ouch!!! Debating on if I can handle it or not. Got about another 30 minutes to decide???? I did email my friend the other day and explain to her some of my reasoning behind not showing up lately..said she understood but I have my doubts on that.

Have a good Friday night my friends!

Hello everyone,
got something in my stomach. Hope it stays. LOL.Will try not taking those meds to see if it make a difference tomorrow.
Feel well enough for the moment anyways to try my strider

Gina- glad class went well, wishing you safe travels. I have my FL adventure in May
Terry i took a vacation day next friday not even realizing it was good friday. i agree easter wicked early this yr IMO.good for you for getting the walk in. wish things would get better for mom, but because of her condition, will get much worse and ugly from what I'm hearing.
Xan- ugh about being up so early to give out the report cards. as for the mh providers, no female providers in my area are taking new patients right now. ex is somewhat of a sounding board, he'll listen but not comment much( probably not to tick me off)
Happy early bday to DD
Barb- glad the book fair is over. hope you did go over goalm gl w/ all the company
Nikki- I'm trying to blow in your direction to help out w/ the ice
Em- yippee about the computer
Sue- hope the father/son bonding went well, fingers crossed things go well w/ the plumbing. Wow what a change w/ ds ever since he has his own bed
Janna- glad you're feeling better
Sarah- we are on the top floor, unfortunately sealed windows. my symptoms might be due to the new meds. seems people were better today. oh my about dd and the soap!!

take care everyone
gotta get that exercise in
Lizzy

Man - I leave for a while this afernoon and this place is hopping!!

Lizzy~ So glad you finally got to talk to your Moms doc! Is there anything you will be able to do when she in back in the North and closer to you about the treatment. Sorry you are still not feeling better. Get some rest this weekend!

Terry~ I can't believe you are paying that much for milk. I always get the generic because I am a cheapskate and my little ones don't kow the difference. I haven't paid more than $3.49. Maybe I should fill a cooler and come down there to resell it and see some springtime!!!

Nik~ HOLY COW.... $7.00! That is what my little sis paid on Maui. But, hello she was on a tropical island not a frozen island. Forget the school supply issues, after hearing the milk prices, you must get back to the mainland.

Jen~ You may ever go back to work after being the new and improved June Cleaver.

Going to have some family time. Catch you guys tomorrow.

Terry ~ OMG!! What is it with me and saying stupid things to you??? I am SOOOOOO embarrassed, again!! I think for a while, I'm just going to say hello and that is IT!!!

Em ~ I wonder what power company your DH was working for? I'm glad you liked your time up here...Oshawa is certainly not the most exciting place on earth hehe I hope you got to go into Toronto a bit!

Lizzy ~ Maybe you'll start to feel better as you adjust to your new meds? I hope so. Not sleeping properly could make you feel crappy on its own, too...I'll be thinking about you.

Sue ~ Wow, Little Mr. Man! I understand how you feel but I'm glad it's worked out so well too. I know a lot of moms in my area from working at the Early Years Centre but it's pretty ....suburban around here so there are the values that go along with that. And that's ok. I make my own parenting decisions just like everyone else does. As long as people don't get too judgmental it's all good. And you know, I like living where I do. We chose to live out here, and we got good housing value, and it's a way better life than I sure thought I'd ever have. Sometimes I need to remind myself of that.

Well I had an email from my dad tonight, I don't think he's too happy about being given DH's work address but that's just tough. I didn't say anything about it. As much as I want everything to be nicey nicey, I'm not going to devote too much mental energy to this situation, considering the history. We'll see if the Easter basket makes it up here or not. In the meantime there is some stuff going on with my grandparents (who raised me, and are my "mum and dad" and so get priority) so I'm going to focus on that, and DD's teething and whiney-ness.

I must admit I never pay attention to what milk costs. I figure, I have to buy it, and I'm not going to go without healthy, yummy food, so I just pay for it. As for gas I think it's around $1.06.5 per litre, but I haven't been near a gas station today. That would be.....let's see....a litre is about the same as a quart, 4 quarts to the gallon, $1.06 times 4 = $4.25 per gallon and the exchange rate is about even right now so that's about the true cost.

I know I'm forgetting someone I wanted to reply to so I'm sending out an apology, I'm super tired and talking too much again!

So nighty night girls!
