Jen - I totally understand where you are coming from , every time I mention some kind of schooling for me, it's just too expensive...you have small kids at home...yadayada..it's really frustrating...even a photography course is out of the question..

well the way I look at it is this.....I moved up here to this town because he wanted to be in the same town that his kids live in. I did not.....I wanted to be closer to my mom. The only employers in this town and the next one are healthcare related. I took this job because the commute was just unbearable....3 hours round trip with 2 kids at home and he is hardly ever here. I have to do something. I am just as bitchy as I was before with the commute. I honestly HATE this job I am at.
Now, like I said, I am going to update my resume and send it to that job I just saw and see what happens. Yes it is part time, yes the $ is less I can guarantee that, BUT when I was first looking for a job, he had said part time and we knew a pay cut would happen and did. It was more money than I thought though....but we were prepared for a low pay....what is the difference if it was the first inital job I took or one afterward?
Part time.....I wouldn't need to pay a sitter (hopefully) and if right here in town, I could walk...no gas for a car, no wear and tear for a car.

Lizzy...thanks for the good wishes, but that ship has already sailed. This is actually the most stressful move.....maybe because we are in this holding pattern right now. Today is our official "closing day" for the new house and the approval for the loan hasn't completely gone through yet. It has nothing to do with our credit....but, something about the appraisal in a declining market. Anyway, our mortgage guy assures us that we are just waiting for the "rubber stamp" okay...but in the meantime I have had to postpone the movers and look into staying in our current house for a couple more days. That means renting back from the new owners at $50/day. We are frustrated because everything is waiting on this one phone call. We can't make a move until we know we are approved. OMMMMMM!!!!

Lori--Glad your little test came back negative. We have had hubby fixed here to. I don't doubt my abilities as a parent....(I work with kids for a living)...we just are not interested. I have never been interested in having kids.....neither has hubby.

Morning Girls! Lori I'm breathing a deep sigh of relief for you!
Jen- You have to do what's best for you no matter what. Men like to think they run the show but as you are proof of when they aren't around much it's your job and it's your job to be happy as well. So I say just go for it! They get pissed at first but they always get over it!
Lorena- Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get that stamp soon!!!

As for everyone else who has posted keeping you all in my thoughts.

As for me, well seeing as how tomorrow and Friday will both be hell. i'm half way taking the day for myself. I've done my cleaning and I'm waiting for the laundry to finish. Going to do some exercise then I'm feasting on movies. I love movies set in old times. You know I love little house!!! So today my line up consists of and more than likely I won't get to all of them but I'm watching Little Women, Pride and Prejudice, and Becoming Jane. I figure that will keep me busy lol. Going to crochet while watching. Have a great day all.

April......exactly. It's not like I am into changing jobs every couple of years....truly I am not. The only time I have changed jobs in the past 10 years has been because first place sold my division and moved, next job so I could be closer to here. Thats it. Even my dad knows, for me to bitch the way I am and to be THAT unhappy at a job, it has got to be bad. I have excellent work ethic. As it is now, I work 37 hours a week. Yes the pay is good for this area, but we were prepared for less than what I got. If he is mad, then so be it, but I am doing something.....I can not stay miserable like this. Have fun crocheting!

Terry.....Did you do a system restore and then run the norton?

Ohhhh you reminded me I have to write excuses!!!!

Morning everyone...slept in this morning and really have to get it in gear...I'm headed to my bike class this morning after dropping off dh and ds.

Lori-good news girl. I get it. Not wanting kids is not an insult to mommies...if anyone gets it, we do, lol. It's unfortunate that the people who really SHOULDN'T have kids never question their ability to do so. Glad you got the results that you wanted. Happy travels...enjoy the warm weather.

Lorena-that sucks. I'm sorry. I don't know why closing has to be such a freaking nightmare. Hope you get your docs today.

Jen- you know my feeling...if momma ain't happy...ain't nobody happy. I have a friend in NJ who is the sole income for her house. She makes good money at her day job...but she's got 3 kids and a husband who is incapable of keeping a job. He stays home with the kids, and is fairly good at that. When I was doing medical transcription in the hospital, I told her about it. She took a course and got a job through a referral service, and now she works about 20 hours a week from home doing reports. Might be worth looking into after you leave the job. You can do more when Kevin is home and you need the cash. Something to think about. Send out that resume. Maybe this is your meant to be job.

Barb-enjoy the day honey. Our book fair is over, thank the buddha. I do have to get on planning the shower that I'm throwing for Dev's teacher...ugh. It will be fun, but that's a lot of cupcakes to bake, lol.

Gotta run and get dh out of bed.

C-y'all later!
Sue

Well I said screw waiting until tonight to update the resume and I have already done that. I have to just log on to that website and register....tried already and got an error message. I will try again tonight.

Sue.......I am also going to look online later at doing an online course though, just in case. I had looked earlier, but I have to sift through the accredited courses and the bull. Have a good time at your class!!!!
