HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

Good morning my sweethearts...do you feel the love???? Wanted to go back to sleep this morning and give it a rest but my body said otherwise..weird how it gets used to being up early and I swear it is actually craving exercise....so I did the entire DVD this morning..31 min of Below the Belt and I DID IT!!! What a great Valentine's Day present to myself !!! Speaking of that...I got a beautiful card this morning (I was totally surprised since we were going out to eat over weekend in lieu of doing anything today so thank God I thought ahead and had a back-up card in the drawer just in case I needed it..LOL!!!) and a box of candy ...now before everybody gets upset over the candy there is a catch here...it is Whitmans' chocolate (the ultimate) but it is one of the mini boxes that only has 4 pieces it in..2 for me and 2 for DH...I had to laugh!!!! DH said he caught hell in line at the store yesterday...said all the men were laughing at him about the mini box of candy and he said he told them I was on a diet and I would be furious if he bought a big box of candy so maybe, just maybe he has finally realized that I need support here not temptation!!! And the box is still sealed up 2 hours later!! WOO HOO for me!!!

Going to get my haircut this morning...it needs it sooo bad! I have gotten horrible about not going and getting it trimmed on a regular basis..what is up with that? I hate getting in that chair and having it cut...wonder if there is a haircuttingphobia???

As for critters in the area...we have foxes, beavers, rabbits, squirrels, possums (had one in the yard Mon night playing dead --DS had to eliminate it before it hurt the dogs), coons, armadillas, bob cats, turkeys, an occasional coyote, deer, deer and more deer....that might sum it up...oh and snakes..lots and lots of gross nasty disgusting snakes! My friend actually killed one in her yard Monday afternoon...now that is crazy...it is February for goodness sakes..they are supposed to be in hibernation???? That just shows you the weather is entirely too warm for this time of year.

Off to get a load of laundry started and the kids breakfast going--since it is Valentines' Day I thought I would be a good mother and actually fix breakfast this morning

hello everyone
yesterday didn't go well. Major problems w/ the internet. then get invited to ex's for a few hrs in the evening. ( dont even get me on that one- i gave him his valentine's present, didn't even open the card. don't think he was planning on getting me something- least that was the impression- so didnt actually leave on a great note)
I get home and find....my apt had a flood. either the river or the sewer backed up in the br ,tub was 3/4 full and water& other stuff over flowed from the bathroom thru the kitchen(luckily not all of it) and into the bedroom. most of the carpet is soaked (poor cat) and dirty luckily it didnt reach my computer.
No water when I came back just mostly soggy carpet and debris.
Landlord is coming by this morning. Not sure what is going to happen walking around the apt in boots. Luckily not to much was really damaged,

Sigh what a night, really thought the water was going to go over again, but luckily the tub finally drained & was able to use the toilet w/out it flowing over.

Terry- great job w/ the exercise, how cute about the candy.

gotta go, not sure where I'll be later, hopefully ex could take me in.

Happy Valentine's Day Ladies!!!!

I am tired this morning! All these delays and cancellations with school have me spoiled this week.....oh and of course Kevin waking me up when he got home

I am so sore this morning from the stability ball!!!! I've done that for the past 2 days since there has been an audience and I didn't want to do aerobics.
When I go to work later, apparently I am going to have to put my car into the shop. Kevin said something is wrong with the muffler. UGH. It needs inspected anyway, so might as well do everything at once.

Not sure what is on tap for today after work.

Terry........I am sooooooooooo proud of you for doing the whole tape! That is great!!!!!! I can only hope that Kevin was smart like Tony with the chocolate. And I guess the phrase playing possum is true huh? I need a haircut too. I have been putting it off.

Oh well......time to get the kids up.

Morning! Happy V day girls! I'm just bummin' a little bit today, it's just been one of those weeks....can't believe I'm saying this, but Mike has been gone so long this time, that I'm kinda missing him...he has a meeting today, but then he decided to stay and work on the house thru the weekend...I know it's a good thing and all, I'm just stupidly feeling sorry for myself cuz it's valentines day (not that he would have acknowledged it!)....Ok, I know whatever...suck it up! lol....

So yesterday I went to a knitting club from 3-5pm, alot of the "old" ladies on the island get together and knit hats for the local hospital on the mainland...it was fun, I got some help on my knitting and I'm gonna try to do some hats to contribute. We have a community volleyball game tonight at the school, that should be fun. Oh and I have my adult art class this afternoon....WOW busy social calendar!!!! Who needs Mike, lol.

Ok, got to go make some coffee and p/u the house, I went to bed with it trashed yesterday, I hate doing that.

Happy Valentines Day chickies! Yesterday was so busy. NaCole had her BPA meeting so we had to get up and out early. Went to work and was looking for something in the storage closet and couldn't find anything so I decided i'd had enough and totally cleaned it out. Took basically the entire day! UGH The dust in there was so bad that by the time I got home my nose was bleeding. It's ok now though. Anyways we also had our booster club meeting last night. It's almost the end of show season and some of the greedy parents only show up to find out how much money their child could get if they get into the premium sale. Me of course I laughed at all their complaining. Simple fact is showing is about our kids. YOu don't make money showing. You choose what animals you show you could show a smaller animal and save money but some of those parents are greedy. Personally we show because our kids love the animals. They enjoy it and it give us something to do with them. We appreciate when they get into the premium sale because it makes them proud of the work they've done. But the money they make doesn't cover 1/3 of the money we spend of feed and meds each season so I don't see what the big deal is. Oh well 3 more years only 3 more years!!

Jen- It's easy to get spoiled when the kids are home so much. Now I also love my stability ball. it's amazing the kind of workout we can get from a ball!!!

just wanna know what I did lately to deserve all this. Just need to wait to hear what the landlord says. I don't have rental insurance.(that'll probably change soon) So we'll see what the landlord will do.
Going to be a major pain to move stuff to put in a new carpet. Just gotta take it 1 hr @ a time.

Jen...so he made it back in time for sweethearts day..that is sooo sweet!!! Kids rolled in the floor over the box of candy..it was hilarious! We laughed so hard until we cried..literally!!!

April...DS has shown chickens and goats and we spent a fortune on both to get a trophy on the chickens...he did recently sell them (after 3 years of keeping them) and he got around $8/piece for the hens...now he is wanting to get more...I totally understand your point..DD barrel races because she loves it and enjoys it and it cost a fortune to stay with it but we do it and don't complain..it is nice though when she gets a little payback!

Nik...what is the old saying girl...distance makes the heart grow fonder or something like that...hope Mike remembers today! (I am still in shock mine rememebered)

Hey Jen...it was the passport...the other envelope was the original birth cert and pic. WHEW that was fast!!!!

Barb...have you ever tried the febreeze pet spray...it is supposed to keep down on pet dander??? I need to google it..somebody was telling me about it yesterday @ work. I get so sick of the cat hairs everywhere...
