Hello everyone,
slept over 8 hrs last night. Yippee. And kitty behaved herself for a change bubble bath and sleepy tea helped.
Managed to get my water goal and exercise in. Had no motivation yesterday.

have ex's basketball game(hope they finally win) but really that's about it. So no excuses about exercise. May get some more crocheting done too.

Yes vodka is made from potatoes, potatoes are core!!! LOL This reminds me of in my big fat greek wedding the core of every word is greek. LOL

I forgot to mention yesterday that my cold is back full force now too. OMG yesterday I was just dying. I was blowing my nose so often that I started to get nose bleeds......and of course on top of that Tom is visiting.....BUT I weighed myself and I am still down this week. I think tomorrow I am going to have to break down and call the Dr. for this cold. It is sitting in my chest for the most part........and when I go, I am also going to ask him for a script to help me stop smoking.

OH....I am typing from the laptop....I finally got a few of the bugs worked out on it yesterday. This has Vista on it. I think the main problem with Vista, that I am encountering anyway, is there is alot of things that are not Vista compatible. There are some other bugs yes. My biggest problem that I had was with my yahoo messenger...it kept crashing out....then I found that there is a Beta version of messenger for vista...only thing is that it does not support a webcam....which Kevin and I always run. So I installed windows live messenger....bugs. It took me quite a while to get past all the error messages there to finally get it to work.

OK....not sure what I am doing today yet. I really feel like crap so I would like to just clean and lounge. Jess wants to go to the Y, but I don't feel like it. I might just tell her to invite a couple of her friends over to play Wii. And at 4, I have my Relay for Life team meeting to go to.

Athena redeemed herself today. I was putting in some code on a website for her cat treats and instantly won a 40 gift cert to 800 flowers.com. How cool. Will wait until after valentine's day when they dont have that horrible markup!! My kitty I think I like her

Jen- ugh about the cold hanging on. I'm sure the smoking doesn't help much.
hope you have a relaxing day. ugh about Vista, I guess they are still having problems. I wanted to get a lap top for mom( well really me) for when she's down on the cape. Maybe I should wait some more

Morning chicks! Boy is my back killing me today!!! Right in the lower part--guess I overdid it yesterday picking up crap and moving it. I thought (silly me) we were supposed to hit it early this morning but seems I am the only one that had that thought...go figure?? We ALL have different ways to go after lunch today so not sure if we will get anything accomplished today except 3 of us sleeping late (that does NOT include me).

Watched a thriller DVD last night after got back and it was awesome..you girls have to get it Shattered..WOW!!! Got to pay CLOSE attention though...rewatched a section this morning so I could totally grasp the ending. DS had a hunt last night but they got in fairly early around midnight)--since he had already qualified, he was basically just practice running last night so no big news on that front. DD, b/f & I had a nice supper last night but poor kids they were so quiet and nervous..LOL!!! Did the japanese steakhouse and I ordered the chicken and shrimp, salad and soup...brought most of the rice and lot of the meat back home with me. Then we hit Wally World and I actually came out of there with a receipt less than $50...AMAZING!!!

Alrighty..hope everyone has a great day..Lizzy have fun at the game and Jen feel better girlie...I am off to wash clothes and clean the kitchen while it is still quiet in the house.

Lizzy....that is so cool about the gift card! I think as far as vista, things are starting to catch up with being compatible. Right now, as far as I was finding when shopping, everything has vista on it. Only thing I could think of for you is maybe to get a MAC. I had thought about that for me, but the thing is the other 3 computers in the house are not Mac's. LOL Maybe you should look into that.

Terry- See you could have slept in! LOL Good girl on coming out with spending so little. I can never do that!!!!

Morning girls! Well, it's blowing a gale here today, you all know what that means...the wind keeps blowing the damn pilot light out on the furnace again, so yes, i have no heat...UGHHHHHH...i just don't feel like going outside and loading up firewood (((((((whiny tone)))))))...Mike was supposed to come home today, but the wind will keep the planes from flying, it's supposed to die down later, but not sure how much later.

Anyway, not much else going on here...I'm in the middle of a new James Patterson book and it's really good so far, my kids are driving me nuts, lol...Felt like I was coming down with something yesterday, but I feel ok today

Oh, and Cooper has had 3 nights in his own bed, Whoohoooo, it's been so nice!

Jen - I'm so jealous of your laptop! I'd NEVER have to get off the couch if I had one, heeheehee. Hope you feel better today!

LOL actually Nik...I very rarely take it into the living room with me for that exact reason! LOL I leave it on the dining room table.

OK....I am going to beat male child #2(Devan)......I just downloaded Itunes onto the laptop and it copies over my account.....Devan has linked my itunes account...which I always watch what they are downloading....to his house.....where I guess his mother does NOT monitor what he is downloading. Let's just say I am NOT happy with some of his choice of music titles.....trust me, I am not one to really boycott music and I think it is an expression of each person...but when I start seeing the "C" word in a title, I am not happy. I think I am to have to show Kevin this stuff and him and I will have to have a conversation with him. I know I would be HIGHLY pissed if I ever heard any of the kids use that term, so letting them hear it is not high up there either. Actually, I think what we will do is get the other kids out of the room and sit down and listen to all of these songs that I don't agree with between the 3 of us and let him explain why he likes the song and Kevin and I can discuss it with him. Ugh I am just upset with this and venting so do not mind me.

Nik....ugh on no heat again!!!!!!!! Can you get someone to come over and light the pilot for you?

Morning everyone,
Spent the night in the ER with a friend whose 3 year old is pretty sick. Her hubby is also running a horrible fever and was shivering on the couch, so I volunteered to take her in, since she hadn't slept in 3 days-not a good idea for her to drive. It took 4 of us to hold that wee girl down to get an IV in. Ugh.

Jen-we don't edit music...feel the same way pretty much. We taught Devon early on that just because he hears it in a song, doesn't mean he gets to say it...BUT, I draw the line at certain terms, and the C word and the B word are high on the list. Thankfully he has no interest in rap music, and we talk about how degrading alot of it is to women, but that would be an issue for me as well. Good luck with that conversation.

Weighed in down 2 lbs this morning, but I'm not willling to own it until tomorrow. I didn't get to eat much yesterday, and woke up ravenous. We'll see what the scale says tomorrow, and if it's still down, I'll call it mine

I'm very sleepy. Must get a dog run in today. It's beautiful out. Need to trim back some bushes outside now that we're out of frost danger time. It was BEAUTIFUL yesterday....I think it hit 80 degrees. Ds did a mosaic class at the local art gallery yesterday...he made a lovely piece. He's got such a good eye.

Hello everyone. DH called in "hurting" to work so I have him on the couch with his leg propped up and his toe wrapped up with "nettles tea" soaked in hot water on it. It is supposed to be really good for relieving the gout pain. I feel so sorry for him. He, nor I, have slept well in 2 days. He asked me this morning would I think bad of him if he called in to work. I told him no, my brother and I have been bashing a guy for calling in sick to work with a cold. That is making my brother have 16 hour days at work and doing the work of 3 people. I guess we are a couple of hard a$$es. At least James is listening to me as far as treatments are going. I also went and bought him a bunch of stuff from the health food store and I told him he WOULD take it and he will abide by the "diet" I am putting him on. Man, do I sound like a biotch?

Lizzy: sleep, mmmm, that sounds so good. Have a great day, hope the ex's team wins.
Jen: go to the dr. girl, feel better. Ian has a song on his ipod that I think is totally inappropriate and I told him my brother will erase it the next time he comes down. Just not anything an 11 y.o. needs to listen to.
Sue: what a good friend you are. Hope friends DH & DD are better.
Nikki: ugh on the pilot light! Stay warm, you know they say when you workout when it is so cold you burn more calories. Screw that, I would just curl up in a blanket. What are you reading? I need a new book!
