Default Deli Roasted Chicken Help!

Can't find my recipe anywhere, do you guys remember how long to cook it in the crock? I know it's on high on foil balls and that's all I remember!

Help!

1 chicken (I cooked a 9 pounder)
spray olive oil
Lawry's seasoned salt -no substitutes
Aluminum foil

Clean chicken inside and out. Spray with olive oil spray. Sprinkle with Lawry's. Spray inside of crock with pam.
Note: Do not put any water in the crock

Roll some wads of aluminum foil into balls and put them in the bottom of the crock. The chicken is going to sit on these.

Put chicken back side down in crock on top of aluminum balls.

Cook on High (will not come out the same on low), 4-6 hours.

2-T. light margarine (I use Promise)
2-T. flour(I use Wondra)
1/2 tsp. "Bell Seasoning"
1/8 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. paprika
1-cup low-sodium, fat free, chicken or turkey
broth
fresh ground pepper to taste

1. Melt margarine over low heat
2. Add flour & seasonings, stirring, or whisking
constantly
3. Gradually add broth, again stirring constantly
4. Cook until thick, stirring constantly

Thanks Hun! I knew someone would come to my chicken rescue!
It's the first one! I'm making whole wheat couscous and some yogurt dill sauce to go with it! Yummo!

Thanks again Jen!

Crap, just got back from the market (gotta killer deal on my chicken) but it's frozen! I'm trading up tomorrow's dinner for tonights I guess! Bought some Alternative Pita to go with it. I wanted a flat bread but the calorie count was like 240! Crazy!!!

Hey, I'm gonna try that 'chicken with aluminum balls' recipe. Sounds good.......thanks Jen...my crock pot chicken always comes out mushy, yet dry? Maybe the lesser time on high is the trick.

Sandy this is a great recipe! I'm sure you will love it. It is so tender when you pull out the chicken it just falls apart! Let us know how you like it! I serve mine with pita bread, pilaf and yogurt cucumber dip! My mouth is watering!

Enjoy!
