I'll give you a modification that got my kids to eat beans. I take brown hamburger meat. Rinse it off once cook to help remove excess grease. I cook 3 kinds of beans any type you like. I like red bean northern and black beans. You can do this quickly by using canned beans. Personally I just put on a pot at night with all 3 kinds but I have friends who use the canned type.

I mix the meat with the beans and add Diced tomatoes. I use the italian canned tomatoes then throw in some Mild rotel. It's really good and my kids eat it better than just beans.

Hey Loves!
I'm sweating as I'm typing, I'm sticking to my guns and made sure to get my workout in before I head out. Got some errands to run with Gregg today and test out this new car he's looking into. Planning on some chili tonight for dinner since it's soo chilly out . Hope everyone has a great day, be back later!!

When I make beans, I actually use 5 different beans(canned), sausage, brown sugar, ketchup, and other stuff that I can't remember unless I look at the recipe. none of the kids will eat beans.....any kid. Not in chili, not baked, not hobo style, not in soup. Thats why I only make it for me and Kevin....but I haven't had it in a while because of the pts....although i am sure I can modify it for that.

Liz- I would loooooove to get a new car. I have 2 years left of payments on mine, but I am probably going to pay it off within the next 6 months. Kevin bought a new truck a year ago(Dodge Dakota extended cab), so I would realllllly like to get that paid off before I have another car payment. I have been looking...more like drooling....I like the GMC Acadia and the Yukon. I need something larger. Right now I have a Saturn Wagon...the mommy mobile...but it has every option. LOL

I have until June to pay off my Trailblazer, then I want to get a Chevy Suburban. My sister just got a new Chevy Tahoe and oh my gosh it is loaded and nice!

Well here I am still waiting for Kevin's kids to be brought over here by their mother. I am giving her 15 more minutes and then she can bring them to the Y herself or bring them to the house later tonight.
I hate when people are late!!!! She was supposed to drop them off between 12:30 and 1:00 and knew that we were going to the Y.

Sorry I just had to vent!!!!!

Cheryl- I definately need a larger vehicle....which is part of why U usually have the truck when Kevin is away. We can seat 7 in it...but it's cramped.

Back from cleaning someone's house...There is sooooo much ice on the lake....I can't believe the ferries are able to push through it, I would imagine they will shut down tomorrow, after a night of below 0...perfect timing getting away yesterday and stocking up some more. Hopefully we will only be socked in for 6 weeks.

Think I might go knit some more, I'm making a scarf for Alex, I screwed something up earlier and I'm sooooo bad at fixing mistakes, so it's time to get my Knitting for Dummies book out and find the remedy. Yikes!

Oh, I would love to have a Suburban!!!! I love my Expedition though, and with gas prices the way they are, I don't know how anyone who lives on the mainland can afford to fill those big tanks up! I have a 25 gallon tank, it cost me over $80 to fill it up...If things stay the way they do, we will probably buy a car to get us around locally when we move, and just park the monster and use it for family road trips and pulling boat and camper.

ok, got to get some lunch, starving!

hello everyone,
quickie from me for now since the game is on. Ex's game started late so ended up leaving @ 1/2 time. They were doing real bad today, their playing plus bad ref calls. Ex actually got a technical foul right before they went into the locker room, because he was confronting the refs about their bad decisions. going to have to call him later to see what happened after that. Had some soup before I left, so only had 1 slice of cheese pizza, kind of small, yeah me.

Nikki- i did something wrong w/ my crochet block today, so just had to unravel 1/2 of it to see if the 2nd time around it comes out ok, not easy when I'm using 2 diff colors.

be back later I'm sure

Lizzy

It is soooooooooo friggin cold out!!! It is 10 out right now.....when we left the Y, we had parked on the side and my hair froze from door to the car!!!! Unreal. I can't remember the last time it was this cold out.
The kids want pizza tonight, so it's lean cuisine and salad for me...unless I decide on something else, but I don't feel like cooking.
WI is tomorrow and I have my fingers crossed for at least 3 pounds.

Nikki- Good thing you got out when you did! I just put $50 in the truck and it didn't fill it. Good thing I only do local running around in it.

Lizzy- I thought we were going to have a fight happen last night at the game.....the last time Blairs team played this particular team a fight between some parents did happen......one of the parents on the other team said some VERY rude things about one of our girls realllllly loudly and that girls mom jumped right after that woman.

Alright.....gotta go pick up the pizza.

You know it is really bad when grown ups have to bash little girls. I got it when I was in Jr. High and HS from one lady in particular. At first it really bugged me then after my Mom told me not to listen to her just play I never heard her again. My Mom is so great at just letting things go, oh how I wish I had that trait. Oh well!!! Xan can attest to the fact that we have "those" parents that cause trouble at the baseball games, but I think our Pres. (Billy) and VP (James) will see to it that that doesn't happen this year.

It normally takes about $42 I think, to fill up my Trailblazer, I try not to run it completely empty, so I don't get a shock. We borrowed my Mom's Suburban and it had 1/4 of a tank and we put another $70 worth in it. Ugh! My card was not happy with me. Just be thankful you aren't using diesel, that is higher than unleaded.

Girls, supposedly it has hit 54 here, I do not believe it though, I am still freezing. Jen, I can't believe your hair froze! That is cold. Just heard on the football game that it is 1 degree at the Packers field! bbbbbrrrrr!

ttfn!
