Anyone catch Super Skinny Me last night on BBC America? It was pretty interesting. These two journalist did a research study on diet fads and losing weight. They both did different things to lose weight, one did the watercress diet that the stars use. The way they felt and the side effects of all these weird diets was amazing! The mind set of losing and getting to a specific size was addicting to them. They both lost tons of weight at the end and after the study they went back to their normal ways. they weren't large to begin with either! Anyway just wanted to see if anyone else saw it. It was very interesting!

Wish I had caught it. My favorite "Intervention" shows are the ones where the people are having eating disorders. It's so interesting to me to see how their minds work.
I watched the retired transit police officer try to win a million with Howie! LOL

You missed a good one Xan! One of the journalist really started to go the way of an eating disorder. Taking laxatives, colonics etc. It was scary to watch!

No, he didn't win a million but he did win over $270K. He was thrilled. The million was still out there, but he only had 3 cases left and didn't want to chance it. He had 10K in his case so it was a good deal... like 10K would hav been bad! LOL It was kind of cool. He was one of the two surviving port authority cops trapped alive under the WTC. The man who rescued him was there too. Kind of emotional.

I DVR'd it... couldn't watch it 'coz it came on the same time as I was planning on going to the gym and I thought how ridiculous it would be if I missed my workout to watch other people working out - LOL!
Can't wait to see it, it sounds really interesting from your reports!

I watched the 476 lb teenager for a while...DH made me cut it off though about 1/2 way through it.

I watched that one too Terry! She seemed like she was on her way to losing more. What is a stone anyway? LOL!

allison~ you might log onto their web page. The journalist that did the watercress diet reported on celebrities and their diets that they do. She did a protein shake one also. very interesting!
