Hello everyone,
wow what a game last night. That was a close one. had some problems sleeping but managed to get back off to sleep and slept in a little. Need to wing down to the convience store to pick up some newspapers for nephew since the Pats won. Will save laundry for tomorrow. Making good progress on the blanket. Got a lot done during game. Walk and water is the order of the day. Was sooo thirsty @ work yesterday. Ate @ au bon pan for a change so maybe they have a lot of sodium in the sandwiches. never had that kind of thirst w/ the chinese I always ate. Picked some more hrs @ Macy's for the next couple of weeks. that is good.

Cheryl- glad you had a good time shopping.

take care everyone and have a great day!!!

Lizzy

Good visit with Father in law and his wife yesterday...I got another Cuisinart food processor...heehee...that is number 3!!!! lol....my MIL and them got me the same exact one, so at least I don't have to decide which one to keep, my mom returned the one she got..too funny.

Anyway, the framers are supposed to start on the mainland house today...I'm not holding my breath, this is the third time they were "supposed" to start. Not helping Mike's frustration level.

I am sooooooooooooooo ready for the kids to go back to school!!!!

I have to take all three kids to the mainland tomorrow....seems that the 3 kids, myself, the 3 cats and dog have contracted RINGWORM?????? EEEWWWWWWWWW....I mean gross already....why do my whitetrash moments just keep getting trashier..??? lol... The humans in the family only have one or two little patches, but Cooper is the concern...he has some on his scalp...the peds want to see him....Oh what fun...I swear we are clean people!!!!!

Anyway, can't top that story, so I'm gonna go plan my meals for the day!

Nik

Oh Nik, I'm sorry. Ringworm is downright uncomfortable. Seriously though...there are lists of afflictions I would deem as WT afflictions, but EVERYONE gets ringworm at some point. When you get it on your feet, it's called athlete's foot-for some reason that doesn't sound as bad does it, lol. Devon had it the entire time he was doing gymnastics, because it's a contact infection. When I worked in the hospital, I had it so bad they had to give me an oral antifungal because it just wouldn't go away. Scalp is fairly common placement for the rash, so don't worry too much about Coop. A good antifungal will clear it right up.

Lizzy-congrats on your Pats. 16-0. Killed me to see that happen but I was glad the Giants brought their A game and gave them a run for their money. We watched Penn State play in the lamest bowl game on earth last night, lol.

It's back to the house today, and to finally decide on paint colors. I'm looking at sort of a purpley-taupey color in the living room and then transitioning in the family room to a light terra cotta like color, (they actually looked pretty good together in the color viewer) and then a lighter, redder version in the kitchen (which will wait until after we get in, unfortunately...I just don't want to pick a color I'll be miserable with in there) I am going to make a mosaic backsplash of glass tiles, broken mirror pieces and those flat glass marbles that you put in vases, and maybe some small river rock. That should be fun, and then I'm putting a piece of stainless up next to the stove so I can finally use my magnetic spice containers. Woohoo!

Ok, got to get to work...trying to cram it in wherever I can right now. Taxes are all due on Wed, so must get it done.

Peace ladies,
Sue

Ringworm is no big deal. I don't know why they call it ringworm when there is actually no "worm" involved. Its a stupid name for a bacterial infection. Anyway, hubby and I used to be really involved in the animal rescue thing. Ringworm was kind of a way of life....(actually, it would go around the other foster homes a lot more. We only had it once or twice in the 3 years that we fostered cats. Hubby never got it.....I had a couple of patches. We were told to just stick some lamisil on a bandaid and cover it. It worked like a charm. For the cats, goldenseal clears it right up. Just keep swabbing the areas with goldenseal. A black light will help you find the patches. Much easier than giving them daily baths in "special" shampoo. Don't worry....ringworm is more of a cat lover's affliction rather than WT. At least that's the way we see it. Good luck!

Lori, thanks for the welcome yesterday. I am actually pretty new to this board, but for the most part not new to this lovely group of ladies. We all used to post on a different BB.

Well, I am at the folks right now. We are heading back after breakfast. It is a short visit.....but we have been having a good time.

I hope you all have a great day!

Lorena

Good Morning Ladies.
We just got up a little while ago....we went to that fundraiser party for the hockey team. They had a bunch of door prizes and stuff which was funny because one person won like 7 times....she put in a slew of tickets. She is also Jess' teacher.LOL I never expected to see her there. She remembered me from our conference and we talked for a bit....nice lady. So with prizes I won some cell phone headset and I also won the 50/50 for $65. I also drank points! LOL There was definately good choices there for food and snacks and I made the most of it. They had subway sandwiches so i went with turkey and some veggies from a tray. Atta girl moment.

So on tap for today is we have to go pick up my kids and Kevin leaves at about 3. He just doesn't get it that I am upset that he won't be home for New Years. My inlaws are having a get together this evening with MIL side of the family....I really do not want to go. I hardly know them and like I said, I am in a funk. Plus I haven't seen Jess since Christmas morning, so I want to hang out with the kids.....yes play wii with the kids! LOL

Nikki- rngworm is not a WT moment.....now if you were driving there from your busted up trailer in your el camino with monster truck tires on it, yes. Take Lorena's advice and try the goldenseal for the cats....isn't that the stuff you use to try and beat a drug test? LOL We have to try and coordinate our wii's! I wonder if with the Wii Fit we can use that online together? I am not sure which games, but Nic told me there are some games you can play online against your friends.

Lizzy- We watched some of that game last night.....pretty good. Congrats to yoour pats.

Sue- take your time in picking colors and deciding what you want to do with the house. We are trying to do a room a year..but that is due to $$$.

Lorena- Enjoy the rest of your visit.

Oh well....gotta start gettingready.

BBL

Jen

Good morning lovelies! Hope everyone is having a great Sunday! Not much in store today here, I really need to run to Penney's or Bealls and get Garrett some tennis shoes, I looked yesterday but didn't find anything I liked. We'll see!

Lizzy: DH was amazed at how the Pats were able to make such a strong comeback. Glad you got more hours at Macy's, are you going to quit after the holidays? Have a great Sunday.
Nikki: I have a friend who has been waiting over a year to get a simple addition completed all it really consists of is a kitchen, a bathroom and a bedroom. Contractors are something aren't they?!
Sue: I want a terra cotta color in my bedroom, but I am to chicken! Good luck picking paint colors. Have a great day.
Jen: sorry to hear you are still in your funk, I hope you feel better soon. I do not see how you can handle Kevin's job always taking him away from you. Don't get me wrong I love my time away from James but I just sleep so much better when he is beside me. {{{HUGS}}} to you. Enjoy playing Wii today with the kids!
Lorena: hope you had an awesome visit with your folks. Have a great day and be safe traveling home.

Oh Boy Cheryl you said it about contractors....the framers still didn't show up today, and the head guy didn't answer his phone when mike called...UGH! If they can't do it, just say "we can't do it" Geesh....

Thank you guys for all your reassurance on the ringworm...lol...just sounds so nasty and...ahem...dirty..YUCK...

So, I'm having MAJOR hot/cold sensitivity in that deep cavity that was filled, I'm talking seeing stars pain...dammit....it better not mean root canal, but I have a bad feeling about it.

Woke up this morning and decided to be happy today and productive...Went through all my drawers and put all the clothes that are too small right now, including underpants, in a big container, feels good to open them and not see those little things staring back at me..lol...got my room cleaned up and workout ready..that's where my weights and bench are.

Next I tackled cooper and regan's room, nice and organized now, for all of 5 mintues of course!

Now I'm off to start laundry.

Have done good so far with food.

Hey girls, late afternoon post for me. We went to church this morning and then to eat afterwards. I always do good at that buffet. There's not a whole lot to choose from and they always have something that was either roasted or baked and it's usually chicken. Today was roast beef. I only had one thin slice. I piled my salad high and ate it first. We went out with friends last night and if I had been counting points (that doesn't start until Wed for me) I would have drank 8... not a good thing! LOL But, I repented this morning and I feeling better! LOL
Hope you all have a great day!
