Hello everyone,
going outside in a bit to shovel and clean off my car. It's about 4:45 right now. Was up wayyy to early 2:30 this morning. Lots of anxiety today. I gotta watch it, don't want to become sick again. Horrific commute last night. Thank goodness I had enough gas. I'm sure @ work today talk will revolve how long it took to get out of the garage yesterday. We have a 4 story garage for our employees, we then have to go up a mile long access road to get to a set of street lights on a busy intersection. A lot has to do w/ the lights. Pizza party for lunch today. Will earn some ap's for shoveling. Need to get laundry and other errands done tonight. But need to sneek in some other exercise. Ex was trynig to be helpful last night with IM"S but just not really getting it. Oh well. Lots to be thinking about before mom comes back.
WI a little while ago, creeping back up again to 141. Being sick didn't help this week. sigh. Just taking it a day @ a time.

**edit- 10.5 inches of snow here- didnt' have to do too much shoveling,the sidewalk plow already went thru. did have to dig out my car a little.

Morning Lizzy!!!

Went to bed early last night, I really needed it! Slept pretty good, up early though...5:30...that's ok, the quiet is enjoyable. T-mius 15 minutes and counting till the family gets up...UGH...

My stepmonster called last night...they are coming christmas eve and leaving the day after xmas...These are the ppl who pay no attention to us all year long...Mike isn't thrilled, I'm pretty much non-phased by it, but I guess it will be kinda nice to have some family around, since thanksgiving was quiet. The stepmonster reminded me that they arn't exchanging gifts with mike and I....what a bitch...I have something for them, it's xmas for god's sake....my dad goes all out on xmas lights, I took the most amazing pic of their house lit up at night last year, so I had it blown up to an 11x14 and I'm framing it for them....something little and heart felt...she can bite me....lol....they did get the kids a Wii...which I am secretly soooooo excited about....heeheee...I suggested it to them....heeheeeheee.....

Ok, should go sort laundry or something...

Wow Lizzy, 10.5 inches. In some ways I'm jealous. I miss that winter wonderland feeling after a big snow when everything is quiet and it hasn't all been destroyed by traffic. I heard in PA near my mom it was nothing but slush. No white christmas for them. You do have a lot to think about. I'm glad you have a dx for mom, and I hope the medication will help her.

I know I'm not around, but I'm up to my ears. Looks like we might actually close on this house after all, but there are still some things that need to be worked out today. I have to finish all my east coast shopping and get this stuff in the mail TODAY, or it's not going to get there b4 christmas. We're getting a tree this weekend, taking ds to see The Golden Compass, and then on Sunday he has a birthday party, so dh and I will get a chance to get out of the house together to do some shopping...hope we're still married after that If we are, we're hoping to squeeze in a nice quiet dinner somewhere b4 we have to pick up ds

Barb-We've got a pretty small school community...about 400 kids, and for that amount, our parent involvement is pretty good, but for stuff like that, it's the same people every time. Ds school does "Gingerbread House". I don't know if it's the same thing, but the merchandise is cr*p and I've been trying for 2 years to get them to replace it with 10,000 villages. I've decided, after my run in with the principal over the toilet cleaning experience ds had last week, that I'm retiring from PTO. I'm done. Whatever time and energy I have is going to be spent in the classroom, not dealing with this quasi-political bs from people who have a heightened view of their own self importance.

Hope everyone is having a lovely week. Hope to be back to posting regularly next week. Really need to get back to eating regularly, lol.

Hello to all. All is well here. The weather is really cold and we have fog but it should be lifting soon. I am traveling to MIssouri and Arkansas for the holidays so I am hoping the roads aren't too bad. I am originally from Arkansas and I miss the snow too. I have a busy day ahead of me. I have to get all these invoices done before the end of the day and I usually leave early on Friday but I might not get to today. I have to finish up my shopping this weekend. We are having christmas with one sister and friends and the kids on Wednesday night so we wont have to haul all the gifts to Arkansas and then haul them back home. I will check back in a bit have a good day to all. Angie

Gosh...tried to get on several times already today and could not get the thread to come up...but now I am on and typing away....

Okay, I am jealous of all the talk of snow....I am sitting here with the a/c on in my office and wearing a summer shirt. WTH???? It is 76 today but it is still muggy out. DS actually had on shorts, flops and a t-shirt today for school. Checked the forecast this morning and we are expecting rain (WOOHOO!!! we NEED IT) coming in late tommorrow and tommorrow night and then A COOL DOWN..at least for a day or 2..but our cool downs are still in the upper 50's in the daytime and mid-30's at night. COME ON WINTER...I AM WAITING ON YA!!!!

Hi all just thought i'd stop in a friend recommended this thread so I'm just going to read up and see how everyone is doing.

As for me, my day was good. I got off work early today. The boss thought we deserved a break even though we are on a tight schedule. So I spent my free time shopping for Christmas. I'll spend time tomorrow wrapping while my kids are in Dallas with their church group. Should get alot accomplished with them not home.

Anyways looking forward to getting to know each of you! Have a Great weekend!
