Good Morning Ladies.

I did not have a good food day yesterday. I will do better today though.

So we went and got our tree yesterday. I was excited! It is very very nice....we went to a tree farm and walked around narrowing down our search until we finally decided on a Blue Spruce....$25 my friends! hehe I know we would have paid more at one of those stands plus it is fresh, we cut it down ourselves.

On tap today...I must clean this morning! After that I really need a haircut and I have to get an outfit for the chrismas parties this week. Jess has a birthday party this afternoon, but it is 1 block down, so she can walk. I also have to do some more Christmas shopping.

Lizzy- What stitch are you trying? I always get nervous trying to do a new stitch....between my better homes 123 crochet book and one of the women I work with, I always manage! BTW I guess the same game will be in both our houses! I don't watch the Steerls though. No dishwasher yet.

BBL
everyone have a great day!
Jen

Morning ladies,

I am on cup of coffee #3 this morning! I did however create Christmas at the Thompson household yesterday...yippeee! And for some reason, the snow put Jim in the mood to string the lights so he spent the afternoon outside doing that (crazy man can't do it when it's 60 degrees but when it's 32 and sleeting...he's in the mood for Christmas...what can I say, love that man! ). Today I have to get laundry done and get ready from the week from hell. I am in the office Monday and Tuesday, but our field vets are in so we have meetings each night and I won't get home until 9 or after. Then Weds a.m. I leave early for NC again, Thursday in Irvine, CA for a meeting, then home on Friday hopefully in time to make it to Jim's office Christmas party only an hour late. Oy as Jilli used to say! Anyone heard from her lately?

Jen - glad Kevin is home...is he home until after the holidays now? Good find on the tree! Ours was a lot more than that but oh, it smells so good!!!
Lizzy - Bet you're getting pretty tired working both jobs girl. Hugs to little Athena. How's she eating?
Terry - you promised me an email summary my friend
Liz - hi there!
Barb - how's Wendy doing? Tell her hello for me. Hope sick bay improves at your house.
Sue - darlin' I just love you! I was laughing my arse off at your post from Friday/Sat (can't remember which).
Nik - did you guys get hit with the snow and ice? How's your furbaby's ear doing?

Ok, need to go get the washer sloshing. Have a great day guys! Oh! Happy to report the scales were down this week

Morning ladies. My baby turns 9 today. 9 years ago today I ad a beautiful baby boy and then took a month long nap, lol. I guess I can't really do that thing that my crunchy friends do where they make the kid sit through their birth story every year, complete with pictures He'd be in therapy for decades!

Looks like the rain did us a favor. It rained all night on Friday night, but yesterday it stopped by 9am, so the big pile of snow that the school brought in for Santa Breakfast day was ok, and the park is not too badly flooded, so we'll be partying there and not here, thank the buddha. Spent last night making dog bone shaped cookies-ds is having a "the dog" themed party. We ended up decorating them with "positive messages" like peace, love, laugh, blah, blah, blah. It was funny.

So I have to get the house cleaned, just in case, because you know if it's trashed it will start raining and never stop, but if it's clean, it will be sunny and beautiful, lol. Have to wrap ds presents since my family sent stuff directly from amazon and such.

LT-sounds like a hectic week girl. I hope the snow doesn't mess up your travels. Glad you got some christmas goin on.

Jen-I miss the tree farm trees. Closest tree farms here are up in Flagstaff, and that's just too long a drive with a tree strapped to our tiny little car. People do it, but not me. When we lived in NYC we used to drive to the Poconos to cut down a tree (although I doubt those were "farms"-I'm pretty sure we just took one from the woods, Sad, but I'll be spending some ridiculous amt of cash for a tree on a lot

Barb-hope the luminarias were fun, although a bit chilly I'm sure. Enjoy the nutcracker!

Ok, gotta run, tons to do before the party today.
Peas,
Sue

Well I am finishing up a cup of coffee...right there with ya Lori...number 3.
Jess has a bday party to go to in a while, so I will drop her off and then go get the hair cut....color when I get home....chocolate cherry.
I am also going to go do some shopping...like I said, outfit for the Christmas parties this week and some Christmas shopping for Kevin and the kids.

Kevin seems to be in a foul mood, so just as well that I go shopping and then let him watch his Steeler game in somewhat peace...although he will have the kids. hehe I just don't feel like walking on eggshells and he is not telling me what he is so pissy about.

Lori- Yes Kevin is home until the 29th then he goes out for a day comes home and then New Years day starts the madness and it will be far and few that I see him until Memorial day. Ugh.

Sue- Happy Birthday to Dev!!!!! The party sounds like it was fun. I would not drive that far for a tree...no way no how. As it was we only went about 5 miles from the house out 422 but I made him take back roads home because I was afraid it would come out of the back of the truck on 422. hehehe

Alrighty.....gotta try and get in gear a bit.
Have a good day.

Morning girls...1st off Lori, I am sooo sorry...when I left work Fri and got home I was going to send you an email and my stupid computer would not bring up the internet...just spent 2 hours on it this morning and ended up having to set it back 10 days and restore to that date to get it to work..not sure what was up with it but at least I am able to get back on. I will send it either this afternoon or 1st thing in the am..I PROMISE!!! She is doing great though.

ALRIGHT...GIRLS I HAVE TO BRAG....DD HAD HER FINAL BARREL SHOW OF THIS SEASON IN HER DISTRICT AND DRUM ROLL PLEASE......

SHE IS THE BRAND NEW 2007 YOUTH 4D CHAMPION FOR OUR DISTRICT.

Talk about being proud...OMG, after her final run and we realized she had captured enough points to maintain the lead (she was up by only 1 freaking point going into the race yesterday), the tears just streamed down my face. Now you may ask what comes with this title...how about a brand new saddle that has her name on the back and her title on the side of it!!!! Just for the ones that don't know, my poor child rode in her regular western pleasure saddle for the past year and only got a barrel saddle (used) when we went out to Miss because we found one for $100...so this BABY deserves this all the way!!!!

Eating was excellent yesterday--too nervous to do any harm...LOL!!!

Gotta run for now..making hog pudding this afternoon (Angela & Anna...any comments???).

See ya girls in the am!!!

Good afternoon to all! I am freezing here, we had a cold front move in last night, and tomorrow is supposed to be freezing rain! Ugh!! I would so rather have snow. Oh well! I am having the time of my life right now doing laundry, so much of it to do, my dishwasher just quit so we know what that means. When does it end???

Terry: Woo Hoo, Kimberly. I rode on a barrell saddle my Daddy bought from a friend for years, I was so proud to have it. My parents still have it. THe guy he bought it from had it made for his daughter and I think she may have ridden on it 5 times. Little rich girl!
Lizzy: have fun with your crocheting! have a great day.
Jen: I hear you on the walking on egg shells, I often do that. James will wake in a foul mood!
Lori: way to go on getting that scale to move, keep it up. Safe travels buddy!!!
Sue: happy birthday to your little man!!
