I keep checking to see if school is delayed this morning. It is only 6 outside right now and i just can not believe there is no delay!

Well I do not know if they are delaying or what. After yesterday's accident I would think they would be delaying just to make sure the roads are alright. Oh, yesterday one of the school buses hit slid down a hill and wound up on its side. It was teenagers on board and not little ones, thankfully.

I continued to decorate a bit last night and wrapped all the pictures on the walls. LOL It looks cute. I will hopefully finish up tonight while Jess is at Basketball practice.

Food today.....I am going to have oatmeal for breakfast and then chicken noodle soup for lunch. Not sure about dinner yet, but it has to be quick as I have PT at 4.

Hello everyone,
wiped from macy's last night. really didn't get much sleep and I go in again tonight. that's why I'm so late getting on.
Mom is going to get her hip surg on jan 3rd I just found out. Delaying the back surgery until the next time she comes down. Still don't know the results of the neurology appt.

Jen- we used to wrap the pix in the hallways @ the nursing home, it always made things more festive. We had to give it up though for fire concerns.

speaking of festive our old site BCB has it's christmas decorations up.

Well I am not going to work other than to pick work up.
Garrett is complaining of an upset stomach. UGH.

So I decided I will drive Jess to school this morning.....it is soooooooooo cold out there! It is going to take the truck at least 15 mins to warm up.
I am not happy about Garrett not going to school this morning.....not at all.
So my plan is after I take Jess to school, I am going to go pick up some work and then come home and clean a bit, then do some work.

Morning girls! ok, gotta come clean, i've had a couple days of stress eating...dammit...money is depressing me terribly...mike and i keep our finances separate for the most part...i bring in a SS check every month from Alex's dad passing away, with that i pay my bills and most of the food for the household. i have a few part time jobs, but the vet bills from the dog the last few months (mike refuses to help with, hates animals) have totally devestated me financially. I am 2 months late on all my bills, creditors are calling...yada yada...things will lighten up soon, 3 of my part time jobs owe me money and i'm just patiently waiting, while racking up late fees...lol...anyway...sorry for the vent...just a day in the life of nikki...heehee..

so gonna try to get back on track today...no excuses!!!!

Ugh, what a day I'm going to have today.
Don't have long, have to get ds up early because he's performing at the state capitol this morning (postponed from yesterday am) AND he has a choir recital TONIGHT at 6.
So, here's my yesterday story....I get to school to pick ds up and the mom of a classmate (who also works as a teacher's aide at the school) tells me that our children were cleaning the bathroom today...upon further investigation I find out that ds and his friend reported a mess from an overflowing urinal in the boys room and were asked to get some paper towels and clean it up, which they did, and then promptly given a tootsie roll for "helping". Anyone else see an issue here? Standard precautions? No gloves? Kids cleaning urinals? Exposure to fluid borne illness? After more investigation, I find out that it was the freaking principal who asked them to do it. And then she gave them a finger food? D'ya think she even asked them if they washed their hands, not that it would have been enough...WTF???? I thought I was mad until I told dh who just about exploded all over me. He wants to take ds out of school he's so amazed at the lapse in judgment.
So after the performance this morning I have to discuss with the principal just exactly what she was thinking when she sent my son into the bathroom to clean up that kind of mess.

And now it looks like it is going to POOR for his birthday party on Sunday. I guess I could have all the kids over here to the house, but man, that would suck-there's just no time to clean in between now and then. I can't really postpone it at this time of year. I don't know what to do

Nik-sorry about the $$. That really sucks.
Jen-ooooohhhhh brrrrrrr. I so do not miss that bone chilling cold. And I LIVE for pedicures. I have to admit, I'm a huge pedi girl, flowers on my toes are my fave thing in the world I think Who knew I was such a girl.

tom is right around the corner-i keep craving sweets at night. i am happy i have a 100 cal pack and a shot of lf ice cream and can call it a night.

WTF? i would be flipping out too!! don't schools have custodians anymore? we live in an age of germs and outbreaks, i can't comprehend what that principal was thinking. poor devon-he probably thought he was doing the right thing by telling her and then gets bamboozled into doing that...and getting a flipping tootsie roll tossed his way.on a side note...i love me some toe flowers too, throw in a rhinestone and im a happy girl.

angie: a loss is a loss girlie. stay strong today! it's hard this time of year but we can do it!

jen: bbbrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr single digits? hope garrett feels better.

nik: i am in the same boat this month. dh and i keep everything separate too-i really prefer since i can go overboard on the spending-and i will not answer to anyone when it comes to that. heheheh. but these past two months at work-no one is paying on time and i have watched our balance fall and fall. i'm freaking over christmas all of a sudden being here. we'll catch up and get through it. hang in there!!

lizzy: yawn!!! poor thing-i hope you can catch up on zzzzz's this weekend. how are the shoppers at macy's? spend happy?

ok. I just walked into the breakroom at work and there are cinnamon rolls the size of cow patties and also there are some tamales...... My weakness is doughnuts of any kind. I also love tamales. I can do this. I promise. I put the lid on the cinnamon rolls and I covered the tamales up with foil. HELP ME!!!!!!I will be thinking about them all day since I know they are back there. I am trying to have as much will power as I can. I just wont go back there for anything.
