Hello everyone,
actually have a day off today. May go into town on the new commuter rail line that's by my apt. Figured I need to take it @ least once. @ least I can walk to this station, but almost the same price in the long run driving to the subway station and paying for parking.
Did go to mom's yesterday, but darn it the rotary motor that was my landlord's didn't work. ugh. Did clip some of the grass down w/ hedge clippers.
Her caretaker hasn't turned off the water yet, is getting very cold there w/o heat in both places, so he needs to do it soon. I emailed my sis to tell mom. She did lose some shingles on both the studio apt. and diningroom in the main house.
Got some strider done last night. Will get my exercise in by walking around Boston. The commuter rail station in town is further way from the hub of the place.

Hope everyone had a great weekend
Lizzy

Good Morning Ladies!

Well my hubby is home. He was sooo exhausted last night by the time he got home. He had been up for over 24 hours.
I did all my baking and made sure I had a nice dinner for him. He has been eating cafeteria food for almost a month...it was the least I could do.
Tonight we are going out to eat, which I thought was nice. He said he didn't want me to cook tonight since I went to all that trouble last night....AND we are going out on a date on Friday night. I guess some of the things that I was mad about and told him about he is making an effort to correct (like being taken for granted and no us time).
Anyway.....it makes me happy.

Work today hopefully will fly...I have PT this afternoon and I hurt my knee again on Saturday. Sasha was attacking Scout and I jumped really fast to his rescue and twisted my damn knee again.

The kids are all home this morning....Kevin had to go to the shop so Devan is in charge. LOL I left a list for them to do stuff.

Anywho...thats about it for me today.

Lizzy- Have fun on the train! I used to loooove taking the LIRR into the city!

Hello Girls!

Well this is our day at home for this week, boy life gets busy doesn't it?! So I thought I'd come and post while I could. There have been some big things going on around here the last while but we are settling down to "normal" again - whatever that is! - and hopefully for good now! I've still been losing weight though, which is good.

Liz ~ Cheesy chicken enchiladas? That sounds really good, can you post the recipe?

Jen ~ Sorry to hear about your knees! I can sympathise, I've hurt both of mine, one pretty bad, and I know how it is. Take it easy!

Lizzy ~ Have fun on the train today!

Gina ~ Wow, the air force - that is big news! You are now officially the mother of a young man!!

Well I'd better head out for now and get some things done - we've decided to splurge on getting our driveway plowed this winter! It's always been such a bone of contention between us I figure it'll be worth every penny! So I'd better go fill out the form for that!

p.s. Jen, I've given it some more thought and I have decided to change my goal weight for sure. Thanks for your advice!

I can never figure how to just paste something so here goes:
CHEESY CHICKEN ENCHILADAS

Ingredients:
1 cup chopped onion
1 1/2 cups shredded cooked chicken breast
1 cup (4 ounces) shredded reduced-fat sharp Cheddar cheese
1 cup bottled picante sauce
3oz. 1/3-less-fat cream cheese
1 tsp. ground cumin or chili powder
8 (6-inch) flour tortillas
1 1/2 cups bottled green taco sauce

Preheat oven to 350
Spray a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray and heat over medium heat until hot. Add onions and saute until tender, about 5 mins. Add the shredded chicken, 1/2 cup of the cheddar cheese, picante sauce, cream cheese and cumin. Cook 3 mins. or until cheese melts, stirring constantly. Place about 1/3 cup of the chicken mixture down the center of each tortilla and roll up. Place in a 9X13 inch backing dish which has been sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Pour the taco sauce evenly over the top and sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese. Cover and bake at 350 for 15 mins. or until cheese melts.

Serves: 8
Nutrional Info Per Serving

I used 1/2 tsp. of cumin and 1/2 of chili powder for a little more flavor and I did not get the "green taco sauce" just the red taco sauce and it was a hit!

Hello all! I am here! It is Monday, that's about all I can say. I am gearing up for my walk later. My friend and I have been trying to get back going and we are having to get it done earlier in the day and it is not working as easily as it did later in the evening. The DH's aren't as available! Oh well we do what we can.

Liz: did the boys devour this recipe you posted? I'm thinking my boys will, I hope, anyway I am going to try it this weekend I think. Thanks for sharing.

Gina: {{{HUGS}}} and prayers to you!

Sarah: keep up the loosing! Take care.

Jen: have fun with Kevin home (wink wink)! Hope your knee feels better soon.

Lizzy: enjoy your day off!

Hello everyone,
walked a whole lot today. I figured I saved $$ on gas for the moment. Walked over 7 miles according to mapmyrun.com. Was nice to take the commuter train it. Down side it's not as frequent as the subway, but it actually figures correctly $ wise, because I would have to pay for parking @ the subway station. So definitely would do again. Walked all the way to Fenway Park, got a new WS t shirt there. Now I have 2 for this World series and 2 from last time. Who knows if they'll ever do it again. LOL

Jen- glad hubby's back & that sounds like he did a lot of thinking.
Gina((HUGS))) I'm sure it was a tough decision for your son to make.
Liz the recipe sounds yummy.
Cheryl- have a good one.

now I actually have some errands I need to finish. no$ @ the moment. But will persevere.Kitty being very finicky about food so going to try to pick up something different before I bring her to the vet,Her appetite is down for the moment. Then I can put up my feet for the rest of the night.

Lizzy
