Howdy everyone, back home and finally out of the post flight tiredness that I was in all day yesterday. I slept half the day I swear. Ds goes back to school tomorrow and I will get back to the grind.

Recommitting in a big way. Spending a week back east was a wakeup call. Really bad choices were made. I did take Ds into NYC to the Met Museum of Art and walked alot on Thursday, which was the only exercise I got all week. I'll tell ya, at 75 my mom can still hoof it across Manhattan in a hurry to catch a train. We did a lot of walking. It was good to see everyone. I think that we helped ease the drama regarding my uncle. He's not doing well, and we really pushed for hospice care, and might have actually changed some minds. Only time will tell. My aunt is really drained, but has a renewed sense of conviction. The only thing I can say about my cousin is that he's in a precarious situation. He's scared of losing his dad, which is something that will happen in the near future regardless of what decisions get made, and he has a very catholic wife (no offense to anyone...I was raised that way, and have no love for the catholic church) who is putting A LOT of pressure on him to do whatever needs to be done to keep him alive. It irks me even more because they have not once offered to provide any help to my aunt. Sure, put pressure on her, at 78 years old to do all the work involved in this, but don't offer to help her in anyway. He's always been selfish...I guess I shouldn't be surprised that he isn't thinking about his mom in all of this. It's always been about dad.

Anyway....whoosh...get that out of me. The weather is beautiful here. I got one day of fall in PA...the day we were leaving it was 60 degrees. It's 50 here now at 7:30. I love it when I can have the doors and windows open and let the air in.

Jen-we flew in and out of Newark this time...it was the best deal, which ain't saying much. I paid through the nose for this trip. It wasn't bad. I'm not usually a big fan of Newark, but it was pretty uneventful this time.

Liz-sorry to hear about your aunt. You are in my thoughts. Hope your mom got through the flight. I'm air travel challenged myself...but when it came to a choice of seeing my family or not seeing my family, I dealt with it. I always travel with Xanax and some rescue remedy though My mom lives in Allentown. I think I've mentioned this before...my sis teaches spanish at Freedom HS in Bethlehem.

Gotta get my house cleaned and the yard cleaned up. Thinking of a bike ride at some point during the day with dh and ds, and need to get fresh fruits and veggies in the house. I'm reading Eat to Live by Joel Fuhrman...hoping it sparks some willpower in me.

Peace out ladies-more reading to do!
Sue

Hello everyone,
finally got on today. Countdown about 2 wks before mom leaves for FL and my sister's hell will begin ( mom wants hip surg revision while down there, poooor sis) My little miss Athena knocked over a fulll 32 oz water bottle on my wood table, had some white marks already ( had only been a couple of hrs.) but think I got the worst of it off. I should have know better. Oh well.
Mom's floor looks nice. They haven't varnished it yet. Looks like when it was first installed many moons ago. They still have to do the master bedroom, but we put all the other furniture in there for now. Fingers crossed that he might have things done before mom leaves.

Sue ((Hugs)) hope the family takes the advice for hospice. Surely god doesn't want him to suffer. I saw so many cases like that @ the nursing home from all different religions. I had one guy that had a stroke, had diabetes ended up w/ gangrene so both his lower legs required above the knee amputees, plus he was on a G-tube. what kind of quality of life is that. Mercifully he gone pneumonia and died.

Nikki- ugh about computer. I really am jonsing for one while @ mom's. My sis suggested I get a laptop and carry it back and forth so mom doesn't "fool" with it.
Cheryl have a good one.
Allison hope you had a great weekend

Did get another great walk in today before I left a little over 4 miles but in an hr 1/2. Can't do too much more than that w/o mom worrying. Had a great salad that I'm going to try to make my self w/ lettuce, tom, blue cheese crumbles, craisins, walnuts, chix and ff blue cheese. It was soooo yummy @ the take out place.
didn't do great w/ the water, will keep up my usual this week.

take care everyone
Lizzy
