hello everyone, slept horribly last night. Ended up w/ a sore throat. Took antihistamine, gargled w/ salt and had some throat coat tea, looks like under control for the moment. Bringing some more tea w/ me and have cough drops @ work. Not easy when you make a living talking on the phone. Did get my walk in but fell a little short w/ the water. Will do better today.

Good Morning Ladies.
Well I think I have a sick child missing school today. About 10 minutes after I woke up, Garrett got up saying he didn't feel good......took his temp and it's 101. Better that I miss work today than tomorrow though I guess. I'll take his temp again in a little bit and decide if I am sending him or not.
Kevin starts going on the road on Tuesday. Hooray but boo. Hooray because now my house can look semi normal again and I can have a routine. Boo, wll because I will miss my honey!!!

OK......Garrett just told me he doesn't want to go to school.....so that means I am home.

Let me get cracking here and at least throw some clothes on and stuff....I will have to go to the office and pick up work to take home.

OMG....The LionKing was absolutely amazing!!!!!!!! I got to sit next to Regan and enjoy the experience with her, which was so cool for me....I had plastic mom and her perfect angels on the other side of me (I loved everyones nick names for her...LOL) She bought so much crap for her kids, it was rediculous....makes you feel kinda bad for all the other kids, the 20 kids we have in school come from fairly low incomes due to a short work season here, and I can't stand how she flaunts shit in front of the other kids. The only other parents there were her and my other girlfriend who sits on the school board with me, neither of us gave our kids anything extra. Anyway, the kids went home on the bus, my school board friend and I drove home together, went grocery shopping and bought a bottle of wine and some sushi and got kinda tipsy waiting for the ferry...she and I had an awesome time!

Jen...Hope Garrett feels better...isn't it funny how they get to school and get sick right away!!! My kids have been back 2 days and they woke up with stuffy noses this morning!

Ok, Cooper has speech today, so it's off to the friggin mainland AGAIN...OY!!!! At least it's not till 2:30 so I don't have to leave too early...I have to shop for something to wear to my Papa's funeral this weekend.....I bought some black dress pants at Walmart last night, now I need to find a top that doesn't make me look like a oompah loompa..lol...

Morning Lizzy, Jen, and Nik! DD overslept this morning so looks like I'll be taking her to school this morning. I took her yesterday too because she joined a Christian Athlete Club. I was proud....I didn't check in yesterday because I moved my desk/computer to the kitchen from my bedroom. It was a lot of work moving cords etc. I also cleaned out my desk and did some organizing. I start school on the 17th so I'm trying to get ready! Last night I went for a walk in the neighborhood pushing my little man. Before the 30 day challenge if I hadn't gotten my exercise in by evening I would have just blown it off. So, I'm pretty proud of myself. Eating has been good too.

Nik- Sushi and a bottle of wine sounds perfect!

Jen- Hope the little one feels better!

Lizzy- I hope you sleep better tonight and feel better!

Does anyone else go onto Pogo.com to play games? I am sooooo addicted to this stupid bingo over there! LOL It used to be my game was word whomp, but I love bingo.
So the last temp I took on Garrett was 102.3. Jess, of course, was all "well if you are staying home I will bring homework for you" She was pissed he is staying home with me. He doesn't want to move off the couch, so I might be going to work until this afternoon to pickup my work. I soooo desperately need to get to the store too. We have yet another praty to go to tomorrow night so I am making those black bean roll ups again. This one is for Jess' All Star team.....I can tell you right now I am going to have a hangover. I swear when they picked that team they had to have picked based on the parents partying abilities because that is all we did before, during and after each game. LMAO There is one couple that we got along with really well that I have missed since all stars, so hopefully we can start hanging out more........the wife and Kevin would just shake their heads at me and the husband with all the cheering and yelling we would do. hehe Honestly, it was soooo much fun during all stars.
Sooo since I can't get out of here just yet, I am at least going to clean my bedroom which seems to be the dumping grounds for folded laundry for everyone.
Nik- What a bitch plastic mom seems like! I am right there with ya on the seasonal working so I understand completely. Another reason I am glad Kevin is going back to work.....we are desperately missing his paychecks! Have a good morning.

Allison- WTG on your exercise! I hate when the kids get up late. They rae doing construction at the school and they have temporary classrooms/trailers on the one roadway so now there is only 1 way in and out to drop off. It takes 15 minutes just to get up to the door to drop off....I don't have patience for that in the morning!!!! LOL

Alrighty.....I am going to go clean a bit and then see if Garrett will get up to go to work with me.

Morning everyone. I hit the snooze button too many times this morning. 6 is too late for me to wake up and get started. Today will be a crazy day. I've got to get to the gym at 9, then work for several hours, then weigh in, and ds has a fund raiser dinner tonight at Boston Market, and then curriculum night at school. And I'm tired already. Yikes.
The museum was great yesterday. Really professional and well organized. The workshop meets every Wednesday in September from 9-12. Stinks to have to make the drive downtown at that time of day, but it's worth it. It was nice to be there. I'm actually thinking about getting involved as a docent. They have a training program that starts in the fall. It would be nice to just be with art. I miss it.

Jen-Dev was home sick in the 2nd week of school. All those germs in one place. Hope he feels better soon. That's one of the best things about working from home...I don't have to worry about that kind of stuff anymore. Man I used to stress out like crazy when Dev was sick.

Allison-pats on the back for you for changing your relationship with exercise girl.

Nik-glad you had a good time. I'm always conservative about buying extra stuff on school trips. I'll never forget taking Devon to the circus when he was like 4 and dh was still in grad school. Yikes we were poor, and I scrounged for money to go to the circus, even with my discount. We went with a friend, and she bought her kid $10 slushies in animal cups, and lights that spun around and all kinds of stuff. It was so hard to keep saying no when his friend kept getting stuff.

Geez, I've wasted so much time, now I have to wake the child and get him off to school.

Hola girls.... I am with sue, and hit the snooze button until 6:30, which is WAY late for me. So baseball cap it is. tonight is going to be so busy, dalton has practice, then I have to go pack his bags, take him to a friends to stay, since I won't be home to take him to school in the morning. Then I go home to pack my bags, and wrap up some lose ends, and then it's OFF TO CALI IN THE MORNING!!! woo hoo!!! I can't wait!!

Last night I realized that one month ago we were in Mexico for our first night. Ohhhh I so want to go back.

Sue- That class sounds like it would be good for you! I am not even running up to work to grb stuff....I could use a day off. LOL I am already seeing a difference in things that I do with the kids compared to before.....I can actually afford things now, but that is mostly because Kevin is the "whats mine is yours" king with money......I am STILL trying to get used to that. I took money from his bank and put some in mine since I had bills coming out and felt soooo guilty about it. We still have 2 checking accts, but we are both on them.....we keep his because he has a line of credit with that bank. I should really see if we can do the same at my bank and just switch there. Anyway....I still trying to get used to actually having $$ to do things and get the kids stuff.

Liz- Right there with you on taking something....midol is my friend right now.

Oh well......I need to eat something....almost lunch and just not hungry.
