Default What's the best?

Hi Everyone,
I have a question. I'm currently searching for the healthiest (and easiest, lol) diet to try. I don't have tons of cash, and I don't want to join a group or buy prepared food. I'm*a SAHM so I have time to cook, and I do so regularly. I was wondering what diets you all are on, and what tips you could offer. If you are using something and have experienced success, I would love to hear about it. Anyone?
Thanks!
Angie

There's a couple that are relatively cheap, easy and don't have any weird restrictions.

The 3-hour diet is good.* You have to eat every 3 hours, but you get to eat a lot of different foods.
The South Beach is great for weight loss too, but a little hard to stay OP.

My weight loss plan is very simple, I am a SAHM too, so it has to be...LOL!!* I eat primarily non-processed, whole foods (fresh veggies & fruit, whole grains, no artificials of any kind).* If I need something sweetened, I use Stevia a natural sweetner made from the Stevia herb (you can buy it at most groceries), and drink lots of water.* My calories are limited to 1200 a day broken up into 200 calorie meals each eaten every 3 hours.* For example, I eat at 8am, 11am, 2pm, 5pm, 8pm, and either 10pm if I got up late, or 5am if I got up early.** This keeps my metabolism revved up, and has taught my body the appropriate portions of food.* It was hard to adjust to the 1st week, but after that it has been smooth sailing...I've lost about 1 pound a week since January!* Hope this helps!

I think the "easiest" diet to follow would be one where you purchased the food. I mean, think about it, everythings done for you. Like purchasing food from the 3hr diet plan to be delivered. Or Weight Watchers food.
But then, what do you do after that?? Probably not something that would be easy to maintain.
I think that counting your calorie intake and WRITING down each day What you eat and how many calories are in each item. This puts it right in your face- how much youre eating and what food choices youre making. That allows you to make healthy changes CONSCIOUSLY. And to see where you tend to screw up during the day.
I think this allows for more long term changes, healthy habits that you keep for the long haul.

Try sparkpeople.com for a great way to give you a nutrition guideline that fits you personally.* Then, try to meet those goals with healthy, unprocessed protein, veggies, whole grains, etc.* I eat lots of chicken and veggies as well as canned albacore tuna.* I don't have much cash myself and can manage to live on about $150/month in groceries.* I buy frozen chicken and veggies in bulk and then whatever else "tickles my fancy" without being high in fat, sodium, etc.* Hope that helps.
