I've found that logging into my local Craigslist (Toronto's Craigslist or The main craigslist and click through to your city) is really a valuable resource when trying to suss out cheap excercise equipment, to take over people's gym memberships on the cheap (usually because they're moving), find workout partners, excercise videos and even find personal trainers on the cheap.

Most of the personal trainers on Craigslist are sometimes Kinesiology Students, and certified trainers who recently relocated or are looking to expand their clientel. The average price has been about $20/hr CND (since I'm in the T dot)

I thought I would share another one of my many pearls of wisdom! Just tell me when to stop!

lol yep you had the same idea I have , I also posted to finding ppl to walk with or such. Craigslist is addictive ..=) There is all kinds of events that gets posted to be able to go meet ppl and be active .

I LOVE the craigslists !! Also if you don't have money there is a great site called freecycle.org . Its a place where you can give away items or get wanted items from people in your area. I think its excellent. I just gave a rocking chair and playpen to an expecting mother. You can meet new people and help out or find that exercise machine that someone has in their garage collecting dust. I joined several of the local groups in Florida and if they don't have a group in your county you can start one.
