Talking Workout Music

Maybe there's been a thread like this before, but I'm just too lazy to go back through the posts and look. Anyway, anyone like to share playlists from their workout music? Needing ideas. My MP3 playlist is so outdated. Thanks!

April

Hi, April, I don't know if I can be or much help in this area if you don't like the same kind of music as, but here are few that I like:
Girlfriend-Avril Lavigne
Beautiful People-Marilyn Manson
Almost anything by Eminem
Twisted Transister-Korn
Almost anything that is White Stripes
U & your hand-Pink
Educated horses-Rob Zombie

I like a lot of fast, somewhat angry music to energize me. Anyway, those are just a few and some are not all that new anymore. I need to update mine also...lol.

Linda

Linda gave a great list. I try to find angry music to get me going. Evanescence, Linkin Park, Staind, etc. are some of my favorites. I also teach an aqua aerobics class and I use any type of cardio workout music 128+ beats per minute.

iTunes has some really nice - and FREE - podcasts of music specifically mixed for working out, in all kinds of genres - and it's not just playlists, it's mixed so that there's no breaks between songs, and some of them are really carefully designed to speed up and slow down for running programs, or to provide warm-up, workout, and cool-down music for you. New ones come out every week, so there's always something new so I can avoid treadmill-music-burnout.

What really gets me pumped up is almost anything from the Step Up soundtrack. 'Show Me the Money' and 'I'mma Shine' are two of my favorites. Here are some more of my favorite songs to work out to:

Stronger - Kanye West
Don't Stop the Music - Rihanna
Pon de Replay - Rihanna
Get Busy - Sean Paul
4Ever - The Veronicas
Lala - Ashlee Simpson
Ring the Alarm - Beyonce
1, 2 Step - Ciara ft. Missy Elliot
What I Want - Daughtry
No Sleep Tonight - The Faders
...and almost anything by Fall Out Boy

I'd also have to vouch for what Anna said about the iTunes podcasts. I have a couple on my iPod and they're great to listen to when you're running!
