Default does God say we must exercise?

actually the Bible doesnt really talk about exercise alot BUT it does say NOT to eat the bread of idleness.....

so in other words God wants us to be busy like ants......they are always gathering food for the winter.....busy ants......

be like the ant thou sluggard.......

so now i work on the amount of exercise

so God wants us to be busy doing the things he wants us to do......imagine the amount of work a woman had years ago.......we have it so easy now adays......with washers dryers.....dishwashers....etcetcetc imagine NO COMPUTERS NO TV............
makes you think of how much work a woman did before all these inventions.....she worked HARD all day long

would i want to be without these things .....probably not BUt i think they(computer and tv) can take too much of our time ......if we arent doing it in moderation....again theres that word .....

funny how we have to go to the gym for exercise......years ago there were no gyms.......lol how times have changed..

another thought of the day.....

Just look at the amount of work an Amish woman does in one day. And they probably have it a little easier than women in biblical times did. I think I'll take the gym over no washer, dryer, dishwasher, etc. And I really like my running water as well!

This is definitely good food for thought! We do take for granted all the things we have that make our lives easier, that's for sure. I couldn't imagine life without all my comforts.

I am trying really hard these days to live the way God intends for me to live, and truth be told, I've never been happier.

God wants us to be prosperous and in good health even as our soul prospers. You can't have a healthy soul overweight....just a thought. I agree with Catrina I like all my comfort items so if I was forced to choose between those and exercise no questions exercise would win! Imagine washing all your clothes on a scrub board lol sounds so pre-historic!

Another thing I always think about is how God tells us that our bodies are our temples, and we should treat them well. That means avoiding shoveling in the junk food (something I need to work on...) and working out enough to keep you healthy.
