Default Is there a better time to exercise?..

I was just wondering if it was better to exercise at any particular time of day? Either whether people prefer exercising at a certain time of day or whether or not it is better for you to exercise at a particular time of day.

I just bought an elliptical today and am going to start out with exercising at least 3 days a week and I wasn't sure if it would be better to wake up earlier and exercise before starting my day or if I should wait until I am home after work. I assume exercising usually gives you a boost from the adrenaline and I wasn't sure when would be a better time for that boost. Any suggestions would be great... Thanks!

Default RE: Is there a better time to exercise?..

Hi
Have heard that excersise pre breakfast is the best it wakes your body up and as you havent eaten you burn up your reserves. but you do have to eat breafast. I think any excersise any time is better than nothing I have taken to walking the kids to school
Good luck !!

I have heard the exact same thing. That you burn more calories in the morning and that you wake up if you exercise before eating a full breakfast. Of course if you didn't eat a lot the night before I would suggest eating a little something and drinking some water before hand. I am going to get up and do a cardio dance video every morning and then do weights 2-3 times a week at night...hope that helps.

I have heard that the best time to exercise is the morning because it increases your metabolism for the rest of the day. I'm no doctor, but I heard that from Dr. Oz on Oprah one day. I figure he must know!
