Stacey, I haven't tried wheat grass but I've heard that it's really good for you.

I tried the vegetarian life too. I seem to do better with meat. Steak sounds so good right now!!!! I am hungry and everything sounds good right now! Yummm, tho. Homemade fries. Yeah, you'll do better tomorrow.

I thought for sure, if anyone had had wheat grass, it'd be you. I really think it really made a difference, in fact, I am thinking about trying another just to see if it was my imagination or the wheat grass. I usually drink caffeine in the pm, but I had that wheat grass shot with an apple juice chaser, and i was feeling pretty energetic but without the jitters from the caffeine. I am thinking about finding out ways I can make it at home too.

I was actually enjoying being a vegetarian (especially because it annoyed my sister and her husband and i thought that part was super funny) but i was reading a random interview with Jillian Michaels and she mentioned that if you have a thyroid problem, you shouldn't eat soy. I was diagnosed with Hashimotos Thyroiditis 2 years ago. I did some research and talked to my doctor and found out that i should not be eating soy protein (and to try to avoid soy in foods as much as possible since it's in everything from ice cream to bread). Well, as a vegetarian, i ate lots of veggie burgers and veggie sausages which are mostly soy protein. I tried for a few weeks without eating meat substitutes, but was not getting enough protein. I just don't like beans enough, and the main reason i stopped eating meat to start with was for my cholesterol so i couldn't substitute cheese and eggs, so i am back to eating meat in modertion...
