Sorry I've been gone so long. Glad to hear you're feeling better, Jenn! And Sheryl, it's good to hear that you've found a good spot to run, with a cute companion, too. I fell off the wagon. I was overwhelmed by life in general and had to back off for a while. Sorry I didn't tell you guys. I thought I had, but when I read through older posts, it turned out I hadn't. So I apologize for leaving with no word.

I finally got on Wii Fit. Thankfully, I only gained 2.6 pounds. I thought it would be more. But I also know that I've lost muscle, so in reality I've gained more than that because muscle wieghs more than fat.

We had a Noreaster here. Major flooding and damage. Did anyone else catch that storm? And my cat, Dude, chewed through my MP3 player. I need to buy a new one, but I don't have a lot of money. I was really eager to restart C25K, but I can't do it without my music. It sounds really weak to me, but I need the music to take my mind off of the physical stress and keep me motivated. Whenever I DO restart, I'm going back to week 1.

Okay, so I'm in such an upbeat mood about starting again (FINALLY!!!) that I went out and splurged on an MP3 player. It was only $40 for a 4GB, which is better than what I had before. I'm gonna try to go out an run tomm/today.

Didn't make it out today. Weather was rainy and, frankly, yucky. Gonna shoot for tomm.

Finally made it out today! Yay! I completed the Week 1 run and even had an extra spurt of energy, so I ran an extra 45 seconds on the last repetition.

Also, my friend taught me a trick, and I really felt the difference immediately. If you swing your upper body and shoulders back and forth while you run (it eventually becomes a natural rhythm to match your running rhythm), it works your upper body and abs. I felt a little dumb and exaggerated, and I got a little bit of a stitch, but I could feel it in my abs.

Hope everyone is doing well! Keep up the good work!

Cool Re: Couch to 5K November2009

Hi all - I'm interested in joining this thread! I am not going to start running until the week of the 29th, which is coming up... I need to ease into it a little with a week of walking. I'm also starting my own challenge that week, and this one will coincide perfectly with what I need to do for my own! I'm very excited to start week one, and I may be one of those that does 2 weeks of each week of exercises. But anyway, let me know if there's room for one more!
