Default Push-ups & Run Thread: July is time to fly hi & get rid of those flappy wings & thighs

This forum is open to all buddyslimmers eager to tone up and get rid of those chicken wings.

Let's go for it! If you walk, why not run? You can do it!

Flappy gross arms? Guess what? Push-ups! All formats welcome.

My July Goals:

Push-ups
-I NEED to get back to doing it twice a week!!!!!!!
-Between 250 to 350 push-ups each time

Run
-Continue with two 5K's per week but goal is outside run vs treadmill to train for the Long Beach 5K or 1/2 marathon and Disney's 5K or 1/2 marathon
-One 10K each week OUTSIDE!

Month goal
-Keep inside run under 28 minutes per 5K
-Continue to shave seconds off all run
-To do four 10K
-Attempt a long run untimed

These are my run and push-up goals along with all my exercises which include swimming, kickboxing, interval training, Nancy's Bootcamp, Yoga and Pilates.

I am ready to take on July!! Let's do this!

Running:
No specific goal. Have to try it out and see what my body can handle. Trying to get back into the Couch to 5k program without injuring myself again. Running with ankle supports now and only on flat surfaces.

Pushups:
Right now, I can do one set of 20 pushups in a day, with one to two days rest afterwards. I'd like to continue doing my pushups every two to three days, and work up to 2 sets of 20 by the end of the month.

other works outs tae bo, ab work, weights, spin bike, kickboxing and starting with curcuit training soon..

1. 5 mile run in 57 minutes (waahoo) and 2 mile walk

Welcome to the forum Laura!!!!!!!! Don't worry about the push-ups. You do what you can.

What is your plan for the 5K?

I started running about 4 months ago; never ran in my life. I now do 2 5K's a week besides my other exercise.

Today is my vacation day. I switched it up from what I blogged about.

I got my own pure weights workout done with just 150 push-ups. Planning to do 250 or 300 on Saturday in my bootcamp regimen. Then I did yoga.

I decided to do the kickboxing and pilates together at 6:30 this evening.

How is everyone doing today?
