samantha- if you're only eating 600-1000 cals a day, eat more!! i think on that same site you can check you base metobolic rate- i'd guess you need to eat at least that. if you donm't like eating so much, don't wory! after you lose a bit of weight, you're caloried will have to be decreased as well.

lol- i feel like a little kid at the moment... don't wanna do it!! ok and i can do... 35! i'm embarassed to admit, but i think it might be a bit of my competitive streak comming out... don't need to be the best, just don't want to be left behind! lol- thank you hannah!

yeaterday was a major failure as far as food- all out binge on cake and some potato chips to top it off. i know i'm doing something wrong eating wise- i'm not feeling like i have enough energy and i'm getting cravings. not enough protein, i think. today's already off to a better start, now to just keep it up!

I didn't do well at all today with my eating! My calories are right on target (just a tiny bit over 1500) but I had WAAAY too much fat today, and it wasn't even "good fat". It was DORITO'S fat! I spent the afternoon at my parents' house today, and I wanted to stop by my house and make a sandwich and grab an apple to take, but my kids were WHINING to just GO TO NANA'S house.... so I foraged for food over there. And of course, over did it on the Dorito's. Ugh! Break down for today is right around 35% fat, 15% protein, and 50% carbs. My calorie goal for tomorrow is 1200, so I'll have to be very careful to eat plenty of fruits, veggies, and lean protein.

Also, I only had three kids in the daycare nursery today. The rest were out sick... and I've been congested the past two days, and am feeling something coming on.... I just feel tired, my throat hurts, etc. So I don't really FEEL like working out. But I'm going to go see how many push ups I can do, squeeze out an ab workout, and hop on my step for 30 minutes. I know I can do at least that much.... Not so sure about tomorrow though.

lol- well, i was in the middle of writing "don't feel slighted at all, it's nice ot know that the leader in human too!" when the door bell rang... i had taken a package to the post officeearlier today. well, it was someone from the post office... apparently there was some problem with the package. couldn't quite figure out what was going on at first, but apparently because i had added insurance to it (box of clothing- the joys of moving back across the ocean!) i had to sign the side of every piece of tape used and at every place the tape crossed!! seriously, wtf?! lmao- ahh... i love japan at times

That is funny! I can't imagine WHY they want you to sign the tape though... I guess so you'll know if anyone opens your box and tries to tape it back up?

I went ahead and planned my meals for today, since I have only 1200 calories to work with. Sticking with my plan will leave me with 1201 calories, and a break down of 20% fat, 30% protein, and 50% carbs. I'll have to take my fruit to work with me and stay away from all the snack foods.

I had such a break through yesterday! I cut back soda, drank more water, did 40 minutes of Turbo Jam plus 10 minutes of abs, and then 10 push-ups But the important part was I felt excited about it, hopeful, instead of doubting myself or wondering why I'm bothering. It was a mental shift that made a world of difference.

That's AWESOME MJ!! Having the right attitude really does make all the difference, and it's one of those things that you just have to wait for sometimes. So glad you're feeling back on top of your game! And 10 push ups is a heck of a start!
