I tried to go without my coffee today. I drink it mostly black, with a tiny bit of non dairy creamer stuff, but it's still basically just empty calories and caffeine. So I didn't make a pot this morning, and by 8 am I had a serious headache! (I usually have 2-3 cups in me by then! ) So I was out the kids, and had to stop for a latte. (That reminds me, gotta add that to my journal!) I guess that's an addiction I'll have to break sloooowly; maybe cut back 1 cup or 1/2 a cup per week, so I can handle it. I honestly didn't realize you could become physically addicted to coffee though! Scary....
yeah, i totally hear you on this one!! i know i'm completely addicted to caffiene... i used to drink coffee with lots of milk in it... then last year when i started on buddyslim i switched to soy milk... that kept curdling (and you know something that acidic has to be great for your stomach!) so i started drinking it black... somehow i just got used to black coffee. lol- i think cutting it out is a much better idea though!!

people have been talking about soda on here lately... and i was just curious, can you find unsweetened tea? lol- it's been way too long since i've been back home!! i know here there are vending machines all over the place (no joke- you'll be driving on a road with no one for miles and there'll be an army of vending machines) and almost everything is diferent kinds of unsweetened tea. so- i guess my question is, can you find it back home? and if not, not that' i'm expecting an answer on this one, but why not? i know the best selling bottled tea here is produced by coca cola, so... i dunno. just seems like that should be an option back home too. lol- and if not we should all write soft drink companies and ask for it!!

I know around here, NO ONE really drinks unsweetened tea. Except old people who are diabetic. (no joke!) I always get funny looks from waiters! Sweet tea is too popular in the south. And vending machines don't even bother with it around here. It's all soda, all the time. SOME of them offer over-priced bottled water, but that's the only other option they give you.

Food journal for today is looking good! I'm at about 50% carbs (AGAIN) but 20% fat and 30% protein. So I'm happy with that. It'd be a lot less if I didn't have 1/2 a serving of mixed nuts for my afternoon snack. (But it'd be a lot MORE if I'd had a whole serving... LOL) So I guess we'll that glass 1/2 full instead of 1/2 empty.

I'm just under 1400 cals for today, too, so not bad. I still need to do my toning exercises, but I did my cardio intervals today. I didn't time myself, I just did my favorite 1/3 mile loop til I reached 2 miles. Walked the first lap, ran one, walked one, then ran two (that's over 1/2 a mile straight! ) then walked the final one to cool down. It was SO hot outside, but it was like I couldn't even feel that... all I felt was the burning in my legs, and it felt GOOD! lol

I love unsweet tea, but I can only find it in restaurants, unless I just make it myself.
