I'm glad everyone's doing so well with the challenge! It rained here yesterday afternoon (though unfortunately it didn't cool the temp down much ) so I did my cardio on my step. It was fun to do something different.

With the food journaling, has anyone noticed anything they need to work on? For me, I've noticed that I probably still eat too much fat, and not enough protein. (I *am* trying to build muscle, after all!) So I'm going to work on that for the rest of the week. Breakfast yesterday included bacon and a biscuit, but today it's egg white. whole wheat toast, and grits. Lots of protein, very little fat. Hopefully I can eat similar to that all day, and do it again tomorrow.

Alright, I totally spaced we were starting this, but I am here now. As for food journaling. I don't do it. So that would be a no for mon. and Tues. Guess I will start that today. As for the running, it is funny because I just started running last week and have been doing intervals the whole time. But do we have to do it the exact time you have written down. I do mine outside, so I dont know how fast I am going or how long. Can that still count?

You don't have to do it the exact times. The intervals in that workout are a great place to start for someone looking to follow a plan, but if you're doing your own thing, that's cool too. I know that doesn't sound very structured, but I can't imagine forcing everyone to do the same workout despite their own personal needs and time constraints. I hope that lack of structure doesn't discourage anyone though! The main thing I want to do here is encourage everyone in their workouts, challenge and motivate each of us to do progressively better, and work together to figure out the best diets for each of us. Kind of like, figuring out as a group what works for each individual. That's my goal, anyway....

HEy Everyone,

Okay so food journaling I have been doing bad! So must start today... Exercise though I have been doing okay...

Monday I did an hour step class and an hour power yoga
Tuesday went for a long walk

So I am trying to fit in my workouts due to the humidity. It is sooo freaking hot here. I have to work out tonight which is a workout in itself... I am a waitress and so it is walk here and walk there. I should wear a pedometer one day just to see how much I walk. Well have a great hump day!

For Tuesday:
"sort of" for the food journal: I kept it through breakfast but fizzed out at lunch and dinner

"Yes" to working out; I didn't do intervals because it was weight-training per my own schedule, and I did one hour of weights

Yesterday I ate so much! About 2000 calories UGH I was so HUNGRY after working out. Anyone else have that problem? It's all in the log, unfortunately :P

Yes I worked out. I did a bunch of different exercises with breaks in between so I guess that sort of counts as intervals!
