I am excited. I have come to love working out. Now i do not go to the gym yet or use weights as of now but cardio LOVE IT.
As for walking.. man I am working on it. First day I ran one lap ( my laps here are 500 yards) and I barely made it I think I even stopped a few times. so I thought MMMMm everyone can do this so can I.. So I started walking the laps. Goal right off the bat was 3 miles which is not a problem for me because of what I do workwise requires LOTS of walking. Well two days later I wanted to run.. So I did an entire lap NOT stopping. Cool I thought. Well day 8 I ran 3 of those laps so 1500 meters ALMOST A MILE. I was so proud. I can do this.. everyone can. Just walk and if your body tells you move out a bit more do so..
Anyway enough of that the weather here is bad my pasture is wet so no walking/running for me .. I know if I do go out there I will slip, trip and fall.
I did however rode 84 minutes on my bike and rode exactly 20 miles. WAAAHOO That was one of my goals. So that started my morning. I ate a pretty big lunch like 600 calories but i would say that is quite alright because I do cardio two hours a day or close to it.
And that hopefullyhelp me eat a light dinner.
So here is to a wonderful next day....

Great job Kerstin. Just remember with exercise that doing too much too soon can lead to injuries. How long have you been exercising?

What are you doing in terms on before and after your core routine? Are you warming up, stretching and cooling down?

BTW, I'm not trying to offend you or anyone for that matter. So, if me asking questions bothers you - just let me know and I'll back off.

I'm not sure how to handle new buddyslimmers these days; so if you don't want my suggestions or questions - just holla at your girl and I'll stop.

you are not offending me. I think it is great you care.
I warm up and stretch. I do not start running I walk first. I used to work out way back in the day so I am pretty clear on how to warm up and stretch.
As for cooling down I think i could do that a bit longer I tend to cut that short. And you are right I NEED to make sure I do that and take time to stretch at the end as well. So thanks for the reminder.
When it comes to walking I am pretty fit. NOW THIS IS WALKING ONLY haha. I walk LOTS at work and I MEAN LOTS. I have never had a problem going on hikes for a long time either. It is just the running and that is what I am determined to do.
You are right I should maybe take it a bit slower but my body wanted to go and I was okay. I am not going to fall over with a heart attack because I am not pushing myself that much.
And no you did not offend I think it is wonderful that you care and you are obviously a seasoned person and know your stuff. So thanks for the reply and words.

okay this might sound like a real dumb question. I see these HUGE sit up numbers here.. UHM is this a day????????? not just on this thread on others as well. I can barely do 3 sets of 10 ( and those are the semi girlie ones) so when I read 460 etc push ups I feel my arms hurting already.
How the heck do you do that a day??????????
A very confused
