Lia, portion control is difficult. One thing that has helped me a lot, when I think about it, is to have a food scale. No, not to measure everything for each meal but as a learning tool. Put out what you think is a serving, then weigh it to see how on the mark you are. A great book is The Portion Teller.
Oops, sorry Diane!!!! Didn't mean to call you Debbie. Lets have a great day today.

Not a problem, Lia. My best friend from childhood is named Debbie and when we both went to a new school for high school no one knew which of us was which. Not quite sure why - she's blond, blue eyes and thin; I'm brunette, brown eyes and thick. Better than being called Jennifer. Happens more than you'd think. lol

I feel like a crazy workout woman! I am not complaining so I will keep going with it til I drop! lol

So today I got in a total of 100 mins of cardio. 50 at the gym and I did lower body weights.....tonight I did the 4 mile fast walk.( I walked an extra minute just to make it an even 100 mins) I won't lie, I am really sore from my run yesterday but I feel good!

You go crazy workout womam!!!!

I stayed within my 1500 calories today. I also went to my yoga class tonight. I had a hard time doing all the poses today. I think it's because it's getting a little warm and humid here plus the heat (105f) in the studio and the room was packed, made it that much more difficult breathe. Tomorrow I plan on doing a WATP DVD, just need to decide if I do it in the morning or evening after dinner. My husbands wants to go out to dinner . I love going out but I've done well these past two days. Hope I have the willpower to stay within my goals!!

Wishing everyone a great day tommorow

Got home a while ago, but lunch beckoned for the kids. Still need to get my workout in, but that won't happen until my husband gets home. Kids keep interrupting if I try to do it when they're just with me.

Better question is - Am I? The stomach pains were so bad Monday and Tuesday that I didn't want to get up. This morning I knew just an hour more of sleep and my 3 day migraine would be gone. Sure enough - 6 a.m. and it was. He has set the alarm for 5 a.m. each morning and has his clothes all ready for a work out, but if I don't get up, he doesn't either. Think I'm finally back on the right track and will be getting up in the morning.

I forgot you weren't feeling Well Diane. I was just wondering if he had started working out with you. Maybe tomorrow, huh?

Well, I am going to workout at 5 tomorrow. We'll see if he joins me.

I had been looking for one of the strechie bands without having to buy one of her DVD's that had it with it and was just about to head into Dick's Sporting Goods on Sunday when James asked me what I was going in for. He's had one in his office this whole time! ARRGGHH! So, I'll do that for my second workout tomorrow. He doesn't want anything too intense.
