1240 Challenge
Okay, I am new and I was thinking about a way to challenge myself. Well, I found a way…I’d like to call it the 1240 Challenge. This is how it will work, starting on January 1, 2008 weigh your self. Also, I see that the best way to notice your results is to take body measurements. This is an easy challenge, so I think EVERYONE could do it, even me (approximately 390 pounds). I will have my precise weight and measurements posted tomorrow for the challenge…anyway; the goal will be 1240 minutes (OR MORE) of physical activity (Will be more explained at the bottom). That is 40 minutes a day for 31 days, but you don’t have to do 40 in one day. Ex: You’re having a rough day, the kids are running around and your husband (or boyfriend) wants dinner NOW…you only do 10 minutes of workout. The next day you are free of everything and everyone, you cram 40 minutes plus the time lost from yesterday giving you a total of 70 minutes that day. What to do…
1. Weight in on January 1, 2008 (This will also include you into the challenge!)
2. Include your measurements (If you want to…)
• Biceps:
• Chest:
• Waist:
• Hips:
• Thighs:
Also if you want to include you dress size that is fine:
• Shirt:
• Pants:
3. When you workout try to post your times and activities the same day (You do not have to post EVERYDAY).
• Workout time: (minutes only please)
• Activity: (Post the activity [or activities] for your time)
4. Challenge YOURSELF, not others. Try beating yesterday’s time and motivate yourself and others.
5. HAVE FUN!
At the end of the challenge post your final weight and measurements. Also, include your LOSS and add up all of your minutes for the month. If y’all want me to I will tally up everyone’s minutes and weight loss for the END. I really think this will be fun…hope I will have some people to join me on the challenge.
(If this Challenge goes well I want to start a new one on February 15, 2008. It will be more challenging than this one!)
