Default Food Journal...

Well, I just wanted to come out here and tell everyone why I LOVE my food journal...

I had never ever heard about journaling until I joined WW for the first time...Because I write all big and bubbly like, I immediately tossed the ones they gave out and just used my own, small, purse sized spiral notebook...

I no longer do weight watchers, but this is one tool that I think has been a life saver for me. I have a love/hate relationship with my journal, I do...There are days when I think I cant bare to write in it one more time, but other days, its so much a part of my daily existance, I feel lost if I dont do it...
*
My food journal keeps me honest and holds me accountable. Its also a historic timeline of my life, my weight, and even some other little things that I jot down from time to time...
*
When I met certain people, when I discovered BuddySlim, etc...

I guess you could say its become a little haven for my thoughts, not just food...
*
Anyway, I am on my third journal, and yesterday when I was feeling all sorry for myself and getting discouraged by my rate of loss, I flipped back to the front page. I started this journal on July 31st. So just over three months ago. I have lost 15 pounds since that day. Thats roughly 5 pounds a month, which yeah, isnt Biggest Loser type loss, but you know what, I will take it!

So sometimes you have to look back to see how far you have come and to help you re-focus on where you need to go...

So for any of you just starting out, let me tell you, if there is one word of advice that*I could pass on to you, it would be TRY IT...Try a food journal...It will suck at first, but stick with it...

I cant imagine having come this far without it...
