Default The Fat Smash Diet

I've just begun this diet, after buying the book, and was surprised to learn it's the diet used on Celebrity Fit Club * It sounds like good sense though, so I'm giving it a try.* I don't know anyone who has used the diet before, though, apart from the testimonials on the Fat Smash website (Celebrity Fit Club - Featuring Dr. Ian Smith's Fat Smash Diet and Extreme Fat Smash Diet).* Has anyone here used it, and are you using it still?* How has it worked for you?* It seems like a sensible plan, but it is a little restrictive at first (I'm in the Detox phase), so it'd be a great motivator for me to hear some real-life success stories!* Thanks!

My boyfriend used it, basically you become a vegan for a couple weeks and then wean yourself back to fish,*dairy and meat. It worked for him! (I think he dropped 15 pounds)*

I want to try it but have not gotten the book yet.* I need to do that.* It seems to be a very good program from watching Celebrity Fit Club!

Okay, thanks for your input.* I'm allowed to weigh myself on Tuesday (the end of the Detox phase), so I'll let you know it goes!

If you don't mind sharing what the detox phase consists of and how you handle it I am on Jenny Craig and little stuck (the plan is great though) but i was thinking of detoxing and watned to get the opinion of someone who knew.* Also if you can give the basic outline of detox that would help also.
Thanks again if you have time to respond.

Sure.* The Detox phase lasts for 9 days and restricts most foods except for brown rice, egg whites, oatmeal, and yogurt.* Fruits and vegetables (except for white potatoes and avocados), however,*are allowed in unlimited quantities.* This phase also allows no beverage other than regular water and 2 cups of herbal tea a day.* The idea here is to cleanse your body of a lot of the toxins (caffeine, preservatives, extra fats and sugars) that are in your system and retrain it to crave wholesome foods.
A second key point of this phase (and all others) is that you need to eat about 4-5 times per day.* Right now, I eat breakfast at 7, snack at 10, lunch at 1, another snack and 4, dinner at 7, and a light snack (usually a piece of fruit) at 9.* This point is all about getting your body on a set schedule, where it expects to be refueled every 3 hours or so.* In time, the idea is that your body won't want as much at each sitting, because you're eating so frequently.
Finally, you're meant to incorporate 30 min of cardio exercise about 5 times, wk.* I've been going to the gym in the afternoons and then doing some light yoga at night.* I weighed myself before the start of this phase (152 lb.), and I'm not supposed to weigh again until the morning of Day 10 (tomorrow).* I'm very excited, but not getting any particular number in mind, because I want to focus on the fact that I feel really energized and my clothes are fitting better already!* Anyway, after I step off the scale tomorrow, I'll report back here with an update.
Wish me luck, guys!

P.S.-- the Fat Smash Diet is detailed in a book of the same name.* I bought mine for about $10 at Barnes & Noble, but it's also available at the library...

Hi Everyone!* I've just completed the 9-day Detox phase and I'm*thrilled to report a weight loss of...*6 LBS! * And here's the kicker, friends: I*haven't even been*hungry, because I've been eating every couple of hours!**Other interesting outcomes: On Day 1, I thought I'd die before making it 9 days with no caffeine and, now that*it's allowed in Phase II,*I'm not even sure I want a cup of coffee this morning.* What happened?!?* I feel like my body is really*changing, and that's exciting!!* Phase*II*introduces meat,* seafood, and some other new foods, but I think I'm going to keep*eating plenty of fruits and veggies, because that's what got me here.* Too cool!*
