Hi everyone. This is my first post, so please bear with me. I didn't know where to post this but this forum seemed best. I'm just so confused because there's so much information (both with conflicting sides) as to what the right way is.
I do eat a lot of fruits and veggies and the low-fat yogurt as well as nuts for protein. My problem is around dinner time. I live with my grandma and she likes me to eat with her because that's usually the only time we see each other. I figure since I eat well and exercise during the day I should be able to enjoy a dinner with her 3 nights a week at most. The reason for the 3 nights is because it's stuff like pork chops and mashed potatoes w/gravy or eggs with hashbrowns...stuff like that. I always make sure not to put anything like butter on my side dishes, including veggies and I do watch my portions. The only thing is even tho I know I eat right during the day it seems like I'm cheating on these nights with the home-cooked meals. Do you think this is a problem?
I have lost weight so far but I also don't measure my food much..just watch the size; although I will start doing that tomorrow. Anyways, thanks for the input.
