Flat Belly And Gluten Free
Okay, I'll start with the Flat Belly, only because I'm actually getting to start it. Also, it's not a diet, but a lifestyle change in the way I eat.
Although I'm not obesely overweight, I am about 15-20 lbs over what I care to be. More importantly, however, is the fat is centered around my abdomen/stomach, and that is the worse kind of fat, especially for women over 40-they call it visceral fat. Anyway, I just downloaded some recipes from Prevention.com, and I plan on buying the book when it is released to the general public later this year. It focuses on foods that help you elimate that kind of fat, which end up being healthier for your heart. Wish me luck.

Gluten Free: My sister & BIL have been married for over 26 years, and with the exception of brief time 25 years ago, my BIL has been overweight-mostly in his belly. He isn't a couch potato by any standards, it's just that everything settled in and on his stomach.
His profession is as a spotter for a professional race car driver, which is pretty important in the racing world. He started getting massive migraines and was resorting to pain killers and thought there had to be a better way. Now I'm not sure who exactly tuned him in, whether it was his doc or a friend, but he started to eliminate gluten from his diet.
Not only does he NOT get migraines anymore, but he has lost a substantial amount of weight. He's been vigilant, and my sister has learned some incredible recipes that are also tasty. He was 50 years old back in December, and for the first time since my niece, his baby girl, was born nearly 25 years ago, he has a 32" waist.
He's team/driver won the Indianapolis 500 this year, and I can't tell you how pleased I was to look at the pictures of my BIL and see his real dimples in his cheeks. The pictures from the banquet were good, but for me he was almost unrecognizable in the post race photo of his driver and the team lined up at the Bricks!
I'm not saying this works for everyone, but it is something. My BIL is eating so much better now, and is definitely and happier and healthier person than the one I knew before.
Ciao!!
