I did Atkisn for 3 months staring in September. I lost 30 pounds, mostly in the first 2 months. I fell off the wagon on and off from December - ...now.
I am starting today with a Natural version of South Beach Diet, mostly because it is easier, and offers me more food to eat sooner. I'll be doing two weeks of veggies, peanut butter, natural meats.
When I say natural, I mean I won't be eating processed foods: hamburger, hot dog, lunch meat, sausage, ect. When I start eating grains/starches again it will be whole grain and whole wheat breads only. No chips, ect.
So in two weeks I can eat whole grain/wheat bread, fruits, ect. I'm really looking forward to it! I know low-carb works really well. Whether you choose Atkins or SB, stick it really hard - because it really works.
