Hey guys!

I did Atkisn for 3 months staring in September. I lost 30 pounds, mostly in the first 2 months. I fell off the wagon on and off from December - ...now.

I am starting today with a Natural version of South Beach Diet, mostly because it is easier, and offers me more food to eat sooner. I'll be doing two weeks of veggies, peanut butter, natural meats.

When I say natural, I mean I won't be eating processed foods: hamburger, hot dog, lunch meat, sausage, ect. When I start eating grains/starches again it will be whole grain and whole wheat breads only. No chips, ect.

So in two weeks I can eat whole grain/wheat bread, fruits, ect. I'm really looking forward to it! I know low-carb works really well. Whether you choose Atkins or SB, stick it really hard - because it really works.

I am a type 2 diabetic and have been limiting my carbs. I find it to work very well for me! I don't do an atkins or south beach tho but I eat foods recommend by both plans. I have been wanting to go full force and do the South Beach diet just because it sounds like such a great plan! Let me know how you do!

I just stopped doing low carb a few months ago. I did it for about 10 months and lost 70-80lbs. Its great if you know tons of recipes and actually follow the Atkins diet and not limit your carbs TOO much. I still have a file of my low carb recipe's that I collected (and cooked, they were all pretty good) if anyone ever wants them! Good luck!

ive used atkins before and lost alot of weight, im going to get back on it because i put most of it back on.

My Husband & I both are doing low-carb. We aren't following any specific plan, we have in the past (Protein-power, carbohydrate addicts, etc...) We basically keep the carbs under 35-40, and eating a LOT of vegetables. (low-starch, of course) My husband has lost 30 lbs in about 6 -8 wks, and I have lost about 10 in 3-4 wks. We have both STOPPED drinking diet sodas completely, and we quit using sucralose products...and it has helped a LOT. I feel better, stopped having severe headaches, and the weight is finally moving the right way! (I still have my hazelnut coffee though;o) I just use stevia in it now)
