I've been on and off the South Beach diet, when I stayed on it for a month, I did lose about 10 lbs. I did moderate it, I eat lots of carbs, and couldn't stop cold turkey, so I did substitute my morning toast with a 1/2 whole wheat muffin with light butter. I also kept my morning glass of OJ.

I basically mixed diet plans to suit my taste buds and ate smaller portions. It worked until I went on vacation and regained the weight and stopped excercising.

Now I am starting all over again.

I am a die hard southbeacher!! I love it because you can do well on it. It is pretty forgiving. If you mess up you can go right back to phase 1 and lose again. It is awesome! I have created my own phase with it though. I have done it off and on for 3 years now. I have been dedicated to it now for the past 5 months or so.

I now do phase 1 mon-sat and I take Sunday off. I also workout alot too. If you have any questions please feel free to email me. I am always glad to help.

I am a south beach phase one dieter as is my sister dawn. My sister has lost 15 pound and I have lost 10 in 3 weeks. If you are dedictaed it really works and is very forgiving. I did Atkins I lost tons of weight and I got really sick and found that South Beach is very similar to Atkins but a healthier way of doing it. I'm a lifer for South beach. We are a very Carb grab and go society and when you change up your eating your realize that you are missing out on some very delicious natural foods by just grabbing those carbs. i am a die hard sb dieter! I just started 1 week ago and LOVE it! i did atkins for so long to lose the bulk of my weight..but now I love the options sb give you for food choices!
