Default Crystal Light??..

Can anyone tell me if drinking Crystal Light counts the same as water? I'm only talking for fluid intake, not calories.

I do WW and was told to count crystal light as 1/2 off my water intake. I've just starting Drinking it....Any suggestions on favorite flavors?? So Far I've tried Berry and Peach Tea. I don't like Peach tea.

I was told by my Weight Watchers leader to not count Crystal Light as water...Seems everyone has a mixed opinion here.

Regina, I love the fruit punch the most and lemonade is not that bad.

I have a friend that is a nurse. I asked her about that one time. She said she had learned in class that it isn't the same as water. Your body digests it differently than water. The artifical sweetners in them can cause you to retain water and therefore when you weigh yourself can add extra water weight. This is just what she ws told by her professor. Hope this helps you.

I saw a newspaper article that describes what tasha was talking about. The artificial sweetner makes it hard to digest the drink too. I love it though....

I have done a lot of research on this, and from everything I've read about it, you can't count anything for water except for water. Apparently our bodies digest water differently than other drinks, even if they have no calories. Simply put, there is just no substituting water.
