Tips Tips Tips!
As we all are here, I am trying to shed a few unwanted pounds....
Because I live alone my thoughts often wonder... Toward food
Here a few things I do to get my mind off snacking and eventually over indulging....
1- Stay away from the oversized hoodies and sweat pants. Not only do they give an awfull posture, they keep me from seeing what I do not want to see... Whitch is not a good idea... Plus, feeling frumpy is depressing....
2-On days off, even if I do not plan to go anywhere, always take a shower, do my hair an put some make up on. Loosing weight is all about creating a positive image of myself so I want to make sure that if I see myself in a mirror, I look clean, fresh and good.
3-Never buy the food that I know I love to much..That way if it isnt there, I wont be tempted to over indulge...And I also keep a botle of windex at hand when I had enough of a "naughty treat".. That way I spray what I do not want to eat later on ... Ok, it's called waisting perfectly good food, but long term I will condition myself to say I've had enough.
4-Music is my best escape.... When I feel on edge I just put on my headphones and listen to my favorite cd.. It takes me away, and most importantly my mind off eating.
5-Aromatherapy, it really works! Light up a few scented candles, spray the room with an ambiance smell...
6-Keeping a water bottle at hand.... And sugar free gum, but not to often .. It just teases to chew gum
7-Go for a walk, call a friend.....
8-Take a shower, a bath... Pamper myself... Manucure, pedicure...
9-Looking at old pictures, scrapbooking, reading, writting, drawing.
10-And most important tip of all, come here and get inspired!
