Default South Beach Phase 1

I have started South Beach today and am looking for some tips on sticking with it and also if someone has some good recipe ideas so I know how to make all this meat taste good, please share!! Thanks!

Penzeys spices (you can find them online) sells a lot of great rubs to cook with. I am not sure if they are southbeach friendly or not. You can buy them in small amounts to try them.

I have also been trying the south beach diet. I have been cooking with beans lots. and making wraps with lettuce leaves. as I have missed my sandwiches. I have signed up for email news letters and one is from South Beach Diet. of course they want you to join but I haven't as it costs $$ but I do enjoy the daily tips from the free news letters. I have tried South Beach a few times and did feel better with more energy due to the low sugar. I have also been tracking all my food - scary at times. i use FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal a free site to track what I eat. I also made a large pot of soup - (chicken broth - beans & low carb vegs) I have been sipping it on and off today. I even blended some up to give it a creamy texture. Good luck have a great day. Oh boy, South Beach does work. I've tried it a few times but the carbs keep calling me back. My husband has been doing it for over a year now and has lost 50 lbs.* Cucumbers in vinagrette seem to help me a lot, but I hate most veggies so South Beach is very hard for me. I will say I never felt better while I was on it. Not so tired, acid refulx went away. Chocolate is my enemy

I've been on the south beach for about 3 wks now... I lost 7-8 lbs my first two weeks and now I'm stuck * I've actually returned to phase I now but still no results.. I go walking every day with my daughter, but still can't seem to break out of this weight I'm on now.. Anyone have any ideas?* I don't have ANY chocolate or sweets, just what's on the list!

Plateaus stink but you'll get through it!* Maybe try to add a day of strength training into your regimen or increase your workout time.* I had this problem once and decided to calorie count for a few days...to find out I was eating more than I thought.* so, that might be worth a try, too!* Good luck!
