Default Slim Fast

I just started on Slim Fast this past Wednesday. Is it healthy? I feel great so far. I started with one shake for breakfast with a piece of fruit, a snack mid morning, another shake and a veggie for lunch, another snack mid afternoon, and then a small portion sized dinner. I have lost 3 1/2 lbs since Wed (today is Sunday). I also increased my water alot and started doing an aerobic tape everyday at home with weights. I don't feel hungry and don't feel deprived. If I have to eat out, I get a plain grilled sandwich on a roll for a meal.

I did Slim Fast along time ago and it always worked for me. Since the No Carb craze I think it got forgotten because of the high carbs that it has. Sometimes I drink a shake for breakfast when I don't know what to eat. But I don't follow the whole regimine. Good Luck, sounds like you are off to a good start.

Slim fast does work but I wouldnt rely on it all the time b/c once your off it you'll gain everything back. Besdies do you really want to drink slimfast every single day? I would ge bored of it. Once in a whil I'll have a slim fast bar but thats only when im in a rush and I have no time 2 make my breakfast lunch or dinner so I just grab and go. If I had 2 take it every day (although they are diff. varieties) I would get sick of it.

If you were just drinking the shakes I don't think it is healthy for you in the long run. But you are adding fruits and veggies in plus having a sensible dinner. And by adding in the exercise you are going to see some awesome results. If you start to feel sluggish just add in some more fruit or veggies.

Thanks everyone. I do feel good so far. And am eating a variety of fruits (yogurt, apples, grapes, strawberries, bananas) and veggies (carrots, green beans, celery, beets) during the day. I also am not "depriving" myself if I want something, I eat it (including pretzels, or even a small cup of ice cream). I also do my aerobics every night before I allow myself to watch my soap on soapnet at 10pm. If I don't workout, I don't allow myself to watch General Hospital (which I can't see during the day since I work full time). I know alot of my first week's weight is water weight. I have done a complete 360 with eating and working out. Up til last week it was all fast food and no exercise at all. I am going back to my 5 small meals rather than 3 big ones. I feel fuller longer and seem to have alot more energy.
