Second Time Around
I'm hitting round 2 of my weight loss journey. Three years ago, I lost about 40 lbs and 80 inches in 14 weeks... had a death in the family, got off track, got pregnant {SURPRISE DH!}, had a BEEEEAUTIFUL baby girl, spent 15 months focusing on nursing, and now I'm 3 weeks into reaching my ultimate goal... again.
I don't have any before/after photos of my progress as yet, however, I can show my b/a shots of my progress from 3 years ago. There's a 10 week difference between the 2 photos, but my stats from above are over a 14 week period.
This time around, I've lost 15 lbs and 19 inches so far. I'm hoping to lose another 8 before the month is out.
I'm using a method of weight loss that includes detoxifying so the numbers are going to be radically different from the traditional 2 lbs per week. It is still healthy weight loss, though, so while I appreciate the love and support showed on this site, I assure you that posts of "you're going too fast" are not necessary. I'd be happy to send a link to a website of other people's success stories with this method if anyone is interested.
In the meantime, I will submit photos at my week 10 mark, which will be Thursday, the 2nd of July. My BIG goal is set for the 3rd of September (2 days before my birthday ) which would be at 19 weeks, so I guess that's a little more than half way into my journey.
I'm being much more diligent about what I need to do this time, so I'm confident I'm going to reach my goal very close to my "due date." However, the most important focus I have is changing my mindset and my habits for long lasting results. Having the numbers to shoot for is merely a tool to help me refrain from eating out of frustration or boredom. I don't have cravings while detoxifying, so that's not an issue any more. THANK GOD! I became the COOKIE MONSTER for a while back there!!
