I am a 12 right now - and that is snug. I'd be happy and more confident as a size 8, but if I can reach a 6...all the better (my goal is actually an 8 though).

About 10 years ago, I was a 0 - but in looking at pictures of me back then, that's WAY too skinny. I am 5' 10", so 6/8 is just right I think.
