TWO days ago I did the Biggest Loser Cardio dvd(which is awesome by the way) but I think I pushed myself a bit too far. I'm still sore. But I hate just sitting around, so what can I do without..well, injuring myself? lol. I want to do the dvd again but I will wait till I'm no longer sore.
Another question. How do you all feel about those 100 calorie snack packs? I'm sure they must be loaded with sugar. I usually get the Lorna Doone cookie ones, or the cheeto ones. Just for a something small salty or sweet. I know you shouldn't just pay attention to calories though, so that's why I'm asking.
Here's what I ate yesterday, just so ya know:
B: egg beaters with two slices cut up turkey
L: two slices pizza(made with Heart Smart Bisquick, No Sugar Added sauce, and fat free mozz.
S: one banana
D: two chicken legs, a small baked potato, prob. about a cup of brocolli
Then, I did a bad thing. I ate another banana around 11pm I really ought to go to bed earlier so I can avoid getting hungry again before bed.
Well, sorry about the long post! but thanks again..

100 cal. packs are good if you are craving something, but in my opinion, your better off have some fresh veggies or fruit instead. And you get to eat way more, too. You can even have 6 egg whites for less than 100 cal. and thats a good way to get extra protein that you WILL need because you are building muscle. I just never feel satisfied with 1 snack pack and one almost always turns into 2. The only ones I REALLY like are the popcorn ones. And that because they make soooo much popcorn, I feel like I'm cheating by eating that much

Okay the video .... great choice. Since it is a cardio workout, you can do it every day (give yourself one day off a week, your body needs the rest). If it was a strength video, I would recomend every other day, alternating with a day of cardio (like walking/jogging, walking up hills, jumping rope, or rebounding ect.) If you are really sore, then you probably need to stretch really well before
and after, and DRINK MORE WATER!! I drink at least a gallon a day. This helps rid your muscles of the lactic acid formed by working out, that causes soreness. Ideally you should just jump right into the workout again the next day, even if you are sore, because you will feel better after you have "worked the soreness out" so to speak, but if you can't do that, then by all means, take a day and just do some light walking instead. Any activity is better than none

I want to say your meal choices sound great!! And a banana snack is really not that bad. You could have had a 100 cal snack pack (which is more cal. than 1 banana BTW) with essencially no nutritional value, but instead you chose something that is packed with vitamines, and is great for you. The extra potassium will help if you are having any muscle cramps and spasms. Hope this helps ya!!
