Great that's the idea! And with the challenge you actually get points for doing that!
The points that you add up each day and total at the end of the week are basically to help you to remember to do the things that will help insure your weight loss. So each morning you might want to review them as a reminder to yourself that if you do these things today it will help you lose weight. Then as the day goes along keep track of them, or at the end of the day review them and give yourself points for the things that you did that day. At the end of the week, I award a prize (Bragging Rights) to the person with the most points.
If you aren't competitive, and that doesn't motivate you to do the things that will help you lose weight and get healthy, then just choose one or a few to start working on just to help you reach your goal weight. The water challenge is to help encourage us to drink adequate water each day. The Thankful one is to remind us to be thankful that we have found this site that helps us so much and to put that thankfulness to work to help encourage yourself and others. The exercise ones are to encourage you to move, etc. They are just good healthy activities to get you going in a positive direction and hopefully have some fun doing it.
Whether you want to compete for bragging rights or not, please try out the challenges and report back how they are helping you, or if you are having trouble working them into your schedule, etc. Sometimes other team members can help you figure out a way to get the most benefit in a way you haven't thought of yet!
And it's just cool to participate!
