Re: Sunday, Father's Day
Morning Ladies- Had a fairly quiet day yesterday. After the gym and stuff we came home and did some yard work. Then DH and I snuck away and went to eat catfish at a local favorite. It was good and I didn't over eat.
Last night we all kicked back and watched a couple of movies, "witless protection" and Bucket List. Bucket list really makes you think back on your life to see if you've honestly lived. There was a part in the movie where one is telling the other that in Buddism they believe that when you die you go somewhere and they ask you two questions and your answers to those questions determine if you go to heaven or not.
The questions were..........
Have you found true Joy in your life?
and
Has your life brought joy to others?
Really makes you think doesn't it?
Today we are going bowling and we'll cook out for Fathers day.
Allison a trip to the lake sounds like fun. We had major flooding last year and they have said it's best to avoid swimming in ours for a while. Sounds like you had a great time at your party and I think you and DH make a wise move switching off like you did. As for letting DD babysit. It can sometimes be a good thing. She could feel great about the fact that you trust her enough to take care of DH while you guys are away. Just start out with short outtings then work you way up. Never let her think you don't trust her though because once you step on their toes they can take forever to get over it!
As for the rest of you wonderful women. Have a fantastic day with the fathers in your life. Remember they are simple creatures (hehe) we have to love them and always remember that they just aren't as developed as we are! Can't hold that against them....
Wife's prayers
Dear lord
Please Give me patience to love my husband
because lord if I pray for strength I'm probably going to kill him!
