Default Re: Rockstar Bio's: Who We Are and How We Got Here!

Meet Rockstar Josh

Born on October 24, 1977 Josh was the first of 3 more childeren to enter into his family over the next 8 years. Josh was a little bit of a pain upon first entering the world though. He put his mother Betty through 38 HOURS of labor before the doctor had decided a C-Section was the way to go. In other words, Josh should've been a Libra instead of a Scorpio.

Over the first few months it was a pretty interesting lifestyle for Josh, he ate, slept, pooped, and took baths. Basically he was a typical baby, doing what most typical babies do.

By the Age of 1 Josh talked and has never shut his mouth since! There were home movies and cassett tapes with baby Josh talking at an early age. His Parents Betty & Jay knew they had their hands full.

Eventually, Josh had a younger brother named Steven, follwed by a sister named Cara and finally another sister named Danielle. Now that the family had been fully put together it was time for some fun family vactions to places like Niagra Falls, Virginia Beach, and North Conway NH to name a few.

When they were young, if Josh & Steven were being quite it only meant one thing, they were working together to harrass their sisters...Needless to say, they got themselves into trouble quite often.

As Josh grew older in school he was interested in only one thing....television, and radio. Not just watching it, but making it happen, putting broadcasts together and puting videos together. For as long as Josh could remember he wanted to have a job related to the production field somehow. Except for a brief time when he was 8 and told his Aunt that he wanted to be a Doctor so he could look at naked ladies all day!!! (haha, TRUE STORY...what a little perv)!

Throughout high school, Josh's determination of "making it big" slowly became a reality. He had some great opportunities in high school to work with 2 television stations at the local access level, where the education he got still carries with him to this day. It was in High School that Josh landed his first paying TV Job for a Boxing Match where he was a camera operator. This just hooked him in that much further.

Eventually Josh made it into College (much to the dismay of a few teachers and guidance councelors) and in college, of course he was a Communications Major with a concentration in TV & Radio Broadcasting. While in College, Josh continued to work hard at his goals of "Making it Big" by being an intern for over 5 radio stations in Boston, and working on a variety of professional televison shoots doing whatever he could to be noticed. (Except maybe streaking...he only wanted to be noticed for good things...lol).

In the midst of the concentration of the workforce, Josh had time while in college to become the President of the Activities Board, a Resident Assistant, the General Manager of the College Radio station, a Student Government Senator and hold a variety of on-campus jobs.

Also during that time, Josh had a few different girlfriends come and go through his life. All leading him up to some great experience and knowledge about the type of person he would like to one day spend the rest of his life with. It wasn't until after school had ended that he met a girl through some mutual friends named Renee'....Josh knew there was something special about her right away, and although she had a boyfriend, she knew there was something she found interesting about Josh. For almost the first two years of Josh & Renee' knowing eachother, they were only friends. Their friendship grew over time, and Josh was beginning to wonder how long he could go with out telling his now best friend Renee' what his true feelings were. Well, much to his pleasant surprise, Renee' was feeling the same way. Once they told eachother of their feelings it was as friends reported "ABOUT TIME!" While they did have a brief snag in their dating relationship, once they got engaged they have been happy ever since. Now approaching 2 years of marriage they are trying to start a family and would love to one day have at least 2 children.

In the midst of the dating and being engaged and getting married, Josh's job really took off. He got offered a position with NASCAR that took him all over the United States working on the television broadcasts for the various races. Also in that time, Josh has been fortunate enough to be traveled to places like Europe, Mexico, and China all for work. Also, he has had a variety of opportunities working in TV with Presidential Candidates, Major Recording Artists, and being part of a multitude of Major Sports History both in Boston, MA and around the United States. He truly feels due to these various honors he has "made it big" in television.

In his radio career, Josh hit it pretty big as well when he was offered a position with the New England Patriots Radio Broadcast for all of their home and away games. This was a most interesting job to a life-long Patriots fan as he got to go on the team plane and team buses for away trips. An experience, he will never forget. Although, the Pats didn't make it to the SuperBowl during Josh's full-time tenure with the broadcast, he still loves every minute of what he did with the team.

A little more than 2 years ago, Josh became an uncle to a little guy named Jayden Anthony. He was born 2 months early and weighed only 3 pounds 2 ounces. Josh can still remember the first time he met the little guy sitting in the little plastic box with all sorts of tubes attached, helping him eat, breathe and basically stay alive. It was a very scary time for the entire family. Through the literal miracles of modern medicine and some of the best medical care in the world, Jayden A made it home 30 days after he was born and weighed 4 pounds at the time! Now he is upwards of 35+ pounds, walking, talking, running, and playing like any other normal boy and is one of the highlights of Josh's life.

Finally, and most recently Josh became a daddy of sorts himself just 2 weeks ago when he and his wife Renee' adopted a little kitten who they named Salem. Salem got his name for the city he was adopted in and the city in which Josh and Renee' met for the first time. Though it's been 2 fairly drama filled weeks, it looks as if little Salem is almost out of the woods and on his way to a life of a normal happy kittie!

Josh hopes to continue his Rockstar Lifestyle and is thrilled to be a part of the BuddySlim Community. Since joining the team of Rockstars, Josh has lost an incridible 20 pounds and is well on his way to more pounds dissapearing!!! Eating right, exercising, and having all the support of friends going through the same daily trials and tribulations has made it a very wonderfull process.
