Thanks for the comments guys. Gumbo is microchiped thank goodness. Plus, of course she has her collar. One thing I've noticed about Mobile, Alabama that wasn't the case in all the other places I've been is that when someone sees a stray dog they don't think, "oh my goodness I bet someone is looking for that dog." They just keep on walking. Animal control knows me by first name because strays seem to find me(they probably know I'll call!). They are always surprised when I call with another one and have mentioned the above attitute with the community. Weird...
