Default Re: NEWBIE weight loss Challenge!

**HOMEWORK
1) put up side and front profile pics
I'm going to do this later tonight to once I get out of my work clothes to get on the treadmill!
edit:

2) get a scale
Just bought one from Target (it was even on sale, lucky me!) which measures fat and water as well as weight. Will weigh in, again, once I change from work. LOL
[edit: I found out that if I put it on different surfaces it measures differently??(6=7 pound differences!) So I'm going to return it and go back to the trusty old doctors scale in the garage ]
233 LBS starting.
3) do some research or some soul searching. - what is making you fat? soda, sugar, overeating...lack of exercise? blog about it, send it to me or to the forum
I know it's a horrible combination of things. I eat to deal with stress, loneliness, depression, etc. Since I'm a person who has grown up in a stressful environment, it's had a negative effect. I also know I've a lack of motivation, and poor influences around me (my family and boyfriend who tend to only eat one big meal a day..). On top of my bad eating habits, I've a disease that makes it easy for me to gain, and hard to loose weight. LOL
Now that I'm becoming an adult, (I'm 18) I've decided I can't blame these things anymore--- I've to take charge of my own life.
4) what changes are you GOING to make to get healthy and in shape?
I'm going to try to walk at least two miles every day on the treadmill (not sure how this will work with school and working right afterwards..)
I'm going to eat healthier, eat less. (More fruit, veggies, white meats instead of red, soy milk, WATER!!)
I'm going to sleep 8 hours a night, not 5!! lol
I'm going to stay positive, and talk to my friends to help me if I start to stumble. Stumbling is okay, but I refuse to fall!
