Re: NEWBIE weight loss Challenge!
sorry guys..im also new to this site ..and after not being able to find a group to join...i decided to try and start my own...its like the blind leading the blind...but, if you all want to give it a shot we can do it! i didnt realize i had to actually check the forum for any replies...i thought that it would come to my in box..(oops. thats why it has taken so long for me to read this ..i thought nobody had replied!) okay well im going to go ahead and start this thing up the best i know how...so lets start by adding eachother as buddies so we can get to know eachother...
i am not following a "diet"..i do try to eat fresh veggies, fruits, and hi fiber cereals...and stuff...and i drink lots of water...
im working out at the gym...mostly on the eliptical and treadmill for now in fat burn mode (keeps heart rate where it should be to burn fat) i am able to do more now than i have ever been able to do...on those two machines...anyhow...i want us to keep our food journals as often as possible, and atleast track our time working out and what we did...(treadmill etc..) i dont have time to put in all of the cutesy things that they have on there...like laundry etc...
drink lots of water and encourage one another... are you in?
and to top it all off....I WILL PICK A WINNER EACH MONTH AND THEY WILL RECEIVE A SPECIAL GIFT IN THE MAIL FROM ME! lets say the 8Th starts our month....so next month on the 8th will you be the winner?
to win you must show some sort of progress, you must work out (preferably atleast 3 days a week) you must make wise decisions when eating, drinking etc....you must encourage eachother and believe in your self!
you dont have to lose the most weight but, you do have to work as hard as YOU possibly can to get yourself in shape...and to stay that way. Its a lifestyle change.
if you dont have a pic up lets try to get before pics put up..this week....how about a full body pic front and side profile...so we can see the dramatic changes in all of us.....(that includes me- im not extremely computer literate...i have a mac now and have not completely figured it out...and im not a fan of the camera...yikes..) okay so

**YOUR HOMEWORK?
1) put up side and front profile pics
2) get a scale
3) do some research or some soul searching. - what is making you fat? soda, sugar, overeating...lack of exercise? blog about it, send it to me or to the forum
4) what changes are you GOING to make to get healthy and in shape?
