Post Re: Too much time

I have duct taped the keyboard and mouse (trackball actually, kinda a necessity really) to the treadmill. I built a shelf to hold the monitor. A flat screen is definitely a plus here. A laptop might work too.

I have went from fighting to do 1 to 1.5 miles a day to doing 3 miles a day. I did that every day last week, except Saturday. It's just that annoying to try to stand on the side rails of the treadmill and do anything. I wouldn't suggest trying to play a game or anything, but surfing blogs and forums works great. Typing is tough but possible. It just takes a loooot longer. I have found it's much easier to type than it is to eat on this thing.

If your planning on being on the computer for more than a couple hours, I suggest keeping a utility table or desk next to your exercise equipment. Duct tape will peel right off the bottom of the keyboard and mouse easily. Just move the monitor and input devices and then make sure to move them back when you're done.

It is working for me. I've never worked out this much in my life. Now I just need to stick with the diet better. Guess that's why I'm hanging around the motivation forum.
