I absolutely love yoga but it didn't help me lose weight. It did, however, make me more aware of my body and made me want to treat it better. The best thing about yoga is you are able to fully stretch and lengthen and open your body in ways your daily routine does not allow. My favorite type of yoga is ashtanga, which is "power yoga" and is a 90 minute workout. I'm sure if I would have been watching my food intake more I probably would have lost weight - but that's why I'm here, right? Give yoga a try, you might love it!
